Two 19th century yellow metal and coral set oval brooches (one adapted from a clasp?), each coral carved as the bust of a lady, largest 27mm, gross 10.1 grams.CONDITION: A few natural flaws/surface abrasions to the bust with the clasp setting. A few minor dings to the setting.Other brooch has a later mounted pendant loop.

A Victorian Silver Vesta-Case, by Walker and Hall, Sheffield, 1895, oblong, the front stamped with a female bust, the back engraved 'Charley's Aunt Dec 21st 1895', 4.5cm high, 15dwt, 23gr Charley's Aunt was a play written by Brandon Thomas and first performed in Bury St Edmunds in 1892. It was later to move to London where it played at the Globe Theatre from 1893, breaking records for number of performances. . Fully marked on bezel and part marked on cover. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points and the engraving.
