All minor, colour is good. Bust 42in, waist 38in, hips 42in · Yellow Hardy Amies - very faint soiling at back of left cuff (hard to see), otherwise good. Bust 36in, waist 28in, hips 38in · Purple Balenciaga - fresh and colour is vibrant, extremely faint small brown stain to back bodice (very hard to see). A rare Twiggy Boutique cotton jumpsuit, 1967-1970, labelled, with psychedelic yellow and blue daisy print; bust 91cm, 36in; together with a US op-art vinyl black and white coat, c.1965, chest 91cm, 36in (2) British supermodel Twiggy launched her clothing line 'Twiggy Dresses' in February 1967. The range of affordable dresses were simple, fun and easy to wear. Each piece came with a free Twiggy hanger carrying a portrait of her face and the label ran successfully for three years. CONDITION REPORT: Twiggy jumpsuit - good condition, no problems. Coat - good condition, creases to vinyl at sleeves from wear. One button has been re-attached with a safety pin and is lacking backing button. Lining needs re-stitching at left underarm.

Front of skirt has approx. 2 small brown stains and 2 very faint and hard to see light brown watermarks near hem, largest approx. 19x10cm. Rear of skirt - one lily pad needs re-stitching, 2 small breaks in velvet near left hem the largest 3cm long, the lining of front bodice has tears/shattering and is in need of repair. Shawls both good condition, no problems, fringes not tangled

Black threads in the weave have eroded. Faint perspiration stains at underarms and at centre back. Ribbon edging at cuffs is frayed. Tabs with ribbon edging centre back waist are good condition and very pretty. Linen lining generally good, pink silk lining to front closure with fading and small holes.

A black quilted silk evening coat, 1930s, with late 19th century Worth label numbered 36441, lightly padded and chainstitched overall with fruits and blossom, deep pleated and smocked collar and goffered full sleeves, bust 86cm, 34in; together with a Japanese embroidered ivory silk evening coat with frogging c.1910 (2) CONDITION REPORT: The label is earlier than the coat. The smocked collar and sleeves however are outstanding - whoever made it! Condition is fresh and good, looks little worn. Japanese coat made for the European market - embroidery is superb, one of the frogging medallions to the chest is missing some of the tassels. Faint damp speckles to the chest and sleeves. Lining is fresh and good, looks little worn.

Large rectangle of discolouration to front of skirt 22x10cm. Small area of discolouration near lace at back right and sticker mark to back left.

A Christian Dior London jewelled evening gown, circa 1965, labelled, numbered 59502, with empire-line bodice, the ivory silk/linen ground applied overall with cabochon medallions and iridescent sequins, bust 92cm, 36in CONDITION REPORT: Faint discolorations, in need of cleaning, ivory silk lining is good, narrow 15cm long discolouration over right shoulder, ground colour of fabric over bodice and midriff areas are more cream tone that the more white tones of the skirt. Beading is magnificent and generally good, no obvious losses. A few sequins are missing at the underarm areas but not hugely noticeable.

Black crepe is generally good, embroidery is bright and good - the odd loose thread. Would benefit from cleaning, has soiling to rear skirt but looks as though it would clean out. Leather waistband lining is detached and needs gluing back in place if so desired. Suede front opening and waistband are soiled also and would benefit from cleaning.

A woman's anteri robe, Ottoman, mid 19th century, richly woven with foliate bands in coral, pink, blue and green silks interspersed with gold stripes, undulating edges with couched gold thread undulations and braid edgings, lined in muslin, bust approx 86cm, 34in CONDITION REPORT: Good condition. Exterior fabric is lustrous and good. Interior cotton lining is generally clean and fresh - the odd rust spot.

Lot 145

A Christian Dior London ivory gazar bridal gown, 1968, labelled and numbered 47011, with beaded collar and cuffs, the front panel formed from joined sections of gazar - their points converging into a central point at bodice, bust 82cm, 32in CONDITION REPORT: First impression is fresh and good. Faint perspiration stains at underarms, small light brown stain at centre front bodice and another to front right of skirt. Hem is slightly soiled with minor scuffing. Very faint oval watermark below rear zip closure. Beading is good and intact. Hem has been raised 3cm at the back. Bodice has been let out at each side approx. 1cm - minor alterations probably done at time of purchase.

A Paquin couture appliqued black chiffon dress/coat, late 1930s, black on white woven satin label, indistinctly numbered, the chiffon ground with complex black crepe tabbed applique bands, self covered embroidered buttons, bust 107cm, 42in CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, very fresh in appearance. May have been shortened, length is more appropriate for the 40s. Lacking one button nearest hem. Ever so slightly soiled (would benefit from cleaning). 3 darned moth holes near hem centre back. 1 moth hole to rear collar. Very nice piece.

Very small hole in bust area. Very faint light brown stain to centre front skirt 6x1cm. 2 more similar to rear left hip area. Faint watermark to right rear hem approx. 33x20cm. All very hard to see and not immediately obvious

A Balenciaga couture black boucle wool suit, Autumn/Winter 1960, Paris labelled and numbered 78720 to jacket only, with curved seam contouring bustline, the skirt with front pleat concealing two pockets, bust 86cm, 34in (2) CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, very fresh. There is a 4x4cm patch to waistband where it has been let out. Stitched repair to rear lining, 19cm in length. Very faint discolouration around button holes where buttons have rubbed against the wool. Lacquer on buttons is faintly rubbed at edges (minor). One pre-stud at skirt waist is loose. Very nice suit. Jacket waist 30in, skirt waist 28in, hips 38in.

A Jeanne Lafaurie couture embroidered ivory satin sheath, late 1950s, labelled, with integral tulle corset, pleated asymmetric shoulder strap, side slit to hem, embroidered overall with palmettes in ivory mohair, couched gold thread, rhinestone studs, bust approx 81cm, 32in, waist 61cm, 24in CONDITION REPORT: Overall impression is fresh and good, would benefit from cleaning. Embroidery is intact and good with occasional losses of rhinestones and floating threads. Gathered satin needs re-stitching in places at bodice. Edges of satin bodice are soiled. Satin has come unstitched at side zip 7cm long and there is a 3cm tear here also (easily repaired). Interior corset is a bit grubby and breast cups are frayed. Hem has been raised approx. 5cm and is soiled. Dress is unlined.

An Ossie Clark eau-de-nil satin and crepe evening ensemble, circa 1973, woven Quorum label and size 10, the jacket with plunging V-neck, buttons to waist and flounced peplum, matching midi skirt, bust 86cm, 34in, waist 61cm, 24in (2) CONDITION REPORT: Large faint brown stain to rear of skirt approx 23 by 8cm, front of skirt with light brown discolouration and bleach marks from cleaning fluid. Jacket - couple of pinhead sized spot stains (minor), faint light brown watermark top front left sleeve, very slight scuffing to satin at front closure - a brooch may have been pinned here.

A Bill Gibb wedding ensemble, 1979, labelled, comprising beaded pale pink bodice and skirt, and white lace coat with beaded cuffs, long train, bodice bust 77cm, 30in, skirt waist 61cm, 24in (3) CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, very fresh, skirt has light brown stain to lace flower near rear hem (minor). Coat has approx. 2 yellow stains to hem of train, approx. 3 small yellow stains to bodice front and edging, lace is good with no breaks, very small light brown stain to collar, cuffs have a couple of yellow stains.

A Christian Dior London shot turquoise/grey silk cocktail ensemble, late 1950s, labelled and numbered 34655, the lightly boned dress and matching jacket edged in silver and gold sequins, bust 81-86cm, 32-34in (2) CONDITION REPORT: Perspiration stains at underarms on the dress. Dress has been shortened by moving the bodice lower down over the skirt and tacking in place which could be easily unpicked. Dress has been taken in at the rear bodice closure also. Perspiration stains at underarms and slight wear to lining of jacket in those areas also. A couple of barely visible spot stains to front left chest area.

A gold sequined bias-cut evening gown, 1930s, un-labelled, the tulle net ground with intentional unsequined areas to rear neckline and bodice edges, bust approx 81cm, 32in CONDITION REPORT: Exterior is good. Metal threads at neckline are frayed. Scattering of small holes in tulle at rear neck. Interior: Long brown spill stain to front of skirt, 2x54cm, not visible to exterior. Two similar stains to rear seat area, largest 2x4cm, not visible to exterior. 10cm stitched repair in same area. 7cm stitched repair at centre back hem of skirt.

One darker small stain near hem at left side, 2cm diameter. Brown smudge, possibly make-up, to pleat at lower right bodice. Very faint perspiration stains at underarms, hard to see.

A beaded black chiffon tabard dress, circa 1924-5, covered with a shimmer of black bugle beads with blue beaded flowerheads, open down one skirt side with waist tie, bust approx 92cm, 36in; together with a bias cut chiffon dress c.1929 with Joseph Urban print of stylised peacocks, bust approx 92cm, 36in; and a pair of 1930s Japanese kimono style printed rayon pyjamas in original box (qty) CONDITION REPORT: Dress - generally good condition, beading is good with no obvious losses. Chiffon ground is sturdy and good, looks little worn. There are a few floating strands of black bugle beads but we have secured these and loose beads are in a bag. Peacock chiffon dress - print by Joseph Urban, good condition, no problems. Pyjamas and kimono are unworn - box is a bit battered.

A couple of small grease spots to lower sleeves (not obvious)

New York', intricately embellished with silver seed-beads, large oval-shaped iridescent plastic sequins and with zig-zag design and smocking to hip area, bust 86cm, 34in, hip 86cm, 34in CONDITION REPORT: Repair at left underarm, 7x2cm where chiffon has been backed. Right underarm has similar stitched repair. Tiny stitched repair at V-point of rear neckline.

An embroidered Anteri robe, Ottoman, early 19th century, of white cotton couched with silver stripes interspersed with silk chain-stitched foliate bands, the slashed cuffs lined in green and pink cotton damask, edged in scallops of gold braid, bust 86cm, 34in CONDITION REPORT: Embroidery is generally good, the fine black scroll bands generally have wear. Striped silk has been added to top of right sleeve and underarm, and left underarm. Cotton lining generally good but some areas with pink dye run.

An Ossie Clark/Celia Birtwell moss crepe dress, mid 1970s, labelled, with 'Candy Flower' printed organdy inserts to shoulders and side of bust, low cut key-hole neckline, bust 86cm, 34in CONDITION REPORT: First impression is fresh and good. Perspiration stains at underarms. Tear along seam at left underarm. 2 small brown stains to chiffon at left shoulder. Small 1cm hole to back hip area of skirt and another near neck. Scattering of pin holes to chiffon near seam edge at rear left bodice.

A Madame Gres couture wine moire taffeta cocktail dress, 1979-80, labelled, with wing-like gathered sleeves which blouson at the rear bodice, cross-over bodice and skirt with exposed shoulders and rear neck strap, bust 86-92cm, 34-36in CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, seam taken in below zip on left hip closure.

A green and red damask satin day dress, late 1850s-early 1860s, adorned with simple ribbon bands, bust approx 86cm, 34in; together with a brocaded yellow satin ball gown by Madame Durhart of London, c.1900; and a Valenciennes inset petticoat (qty) CONDITION REPORT: Perspiration stains at underarms on 1860 dress, bodice decorations largely lacking on the yellow satin gown and waistband on skirt has been altered, chiffon overlay on bodice is torn, split in satin at right underarm. Petticoat is good condition.

Lot 82

A lady's bodice of 1750s brocade, 1770s, with tabbed 'tail' pleated bands to the sleeves, bust approx 76cm, 30in CONDITION REPORT: Colours are generally good, the fabric has perished at the rear neck edge and centre back, the sleeves in particular show creases from the garment's previous incarnation. Lining is soiled, needs re-stitching at centre back tail.
