A beautiful snaphaunce flintlock dating: 18th Century provenance: Tuscany Roundish plate, chiselled with a mask at the end, at the centre an applied mount depicting a grotesque figure with anthropomorphic bust and head and racemes instead of legs, the screws carved as masks, the pan decorated with a mask, a bearded man on the pan cover. A beautiful pistol converted to percussion by Acquafresca dating: 18th Century provenance: North Italy Smooth, two-stage, 12 mm cal. barrel with mark at the base; lock converted to percussion, engraved with dog and floral motifs, under the piston the signature "AFresca"; slightly sculpted, wooden full stock with steel mounts, chiselled and engraved, the counter-plate pierced with the effigy of a bust between racemes (the right side with antique restoration), trigger guard with bust, butt-plate with bust and floral decorations, on the back the effigy of a woman with flaming crown between racemes, a small bust on the fist barrel bracket. Iron ramrod. dimensions: length 29 cm.
A fine and rare hunting sword combined with a flintlock pistol, probably from Tula dating: third quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Russia Long, straight, single -and false-edged blade with a deep groove at the back, both sides of the forte engraved and gilt with the effigy of deer, wild boar and floral motifs, and arabesque at the back; on the right side of the base a flintlock pistol with smooth, round, 9 mm cal. barrel, engraved and gilt with the effigy of a bust and floral motifs on the entire length; the mechanism is protected by a shield-shaped, iron valve finely engraved and gilt with hunter, wild boar and floral motifs in the style of Tula, with dark ground; iron grip decorated en suite with the valve, depicting a hunter with gun, hunter, bust, wild animals and floral motifs, the band decorated with flowers. Complete with original, wooden scabbard with leather covering, iron chape, with the old collection number "W.M. I 2.." (the last two numbers are unclear).Provenance: Welfen Museum Hannover, see Dr. J. A rare miquelet flintlock dating: 18th Century provenance: Naples Lock with the crowned stamp "FR DI NAP", featuring fine, floral engravings, the borders oblique at the centre; the hammer decorated en suite, the screws of the hammer and the batterie both covered with medallions featuring a bust on gilt ground, beautiful batterie with high-relieved mask, the central segment of the face on the mask, in correspondence with the nose and the mouth, can be moved through a small spring; at the inside a long signature (not entirely clear) "A NI GA PACI f..". dimensions: length 14.8 cm.
A flintlock gun by Valentin Hintze dating: second quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Berlin Smooth, two-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part, with the stamps "AOMRTINE" in gold and the golden effigy of an animal between stars, round at the second part with brass foresight; elegant, flintlock signed "V. HINTZ" under the spring, finely engraved with floral motifs, with wide, oblique borders; wooden full stock, slightly sculpted; engraved, brass mounts, the counter-plate shaped as dragon featuring remains of gilding, the trigger guard with bust and floral motifs, butt-plate and barrel-bracket decorated with floral motifs. Wooden stock with iron base and tip of light horn.See "Der Neue Stöckel", Vol. I, page 533/4. Valentin Hintze is documented in Berlin from 1720 to 1740. He was a host and a gunsmith, regiment gunsmith, in 1736 a royal decree awarded him as master and freeman. Scarce signature. dimensions: length 127 cm.

A Wedgwood black basalt bust, two Wedgwood black basalt figures depicting Josiah Wedgwood, and a small black basalt framed oval plaque (4). CONDITION REPORT: One of the figures of Wedgwood is matt black, the second is either painted or part glazed. This example has restoration to the urn and his left hand. Otherwise pieces appear good. Postage cost within UK would be £22.50 + VAT.
A rare mid 18th century Staffordshire agateware pottery salt glazed figure of a seated cat with mouse in its jaws, height 12cm. CONDITION REPORT: Mouse's head is missing, several glazing and firing imperfections, there is a hairline spreading from right ear to the eye and one smaller underneath it, there are multiple nibbles to the edge of the base, two chips, chips to the glaze on the bust and back.
