A FINE POLYCHROME TERRACOTTA BUST OF THE VIRGIN, AFTER NICOLÒ BARABINO (1832-1891) BY FRIEDRICH GOLDSCHEIDER, VIENNA, CIRCA 1890. The finely sculpted bust of the veiled Virgin resting atop an integral shaped base, the front with relief sculpted image of the Nativity. Verso with impressed Friedrich Goldscheider studio stamp and numbers, as well as incised on the base "d’apres Barabino". Height 16.6 inches (42 cm).Nicolò Barabino was an Italian painter of the Neoclassic School, active in Florence and Genoa. He is probably best known for his painting of the Virgin of Peace also known as the Madonna of the Olives, after which the offered lot is modeled.
A RUSSIAN ICON OF CHRIST THE LORD ALMIGHTY, CIRCA 1850. A bust portrait image identified by the shoulder height abbreviated and condensed Slavonic inscription, GOSPOD VSEDERZHITEL –the Lord Almighty, sometimes identified by its Greek title of the same meaning-Pantocrator. The title is taken from the book of Revelation 1:8, "I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord, Who Is, Who Was, Who Is To Come, the Almighty –Vsederzhitel." In an excellent state of preservation. 15.75 inches x 13 inches (40 x 33.2 cm).
A VERY FINE RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT ENAMELED AND ENGRAVED BLESSING CROSS, IVAN ALEKSEEV, MOSCOW, 1899-1907. The multiple piece cross form set with a finely sculpted gilt figure of the crucified Christ at center, with hand chased detailing, his head encircled by a halo highlighted with translucent and champlevé enamel detailing and above a champlevé enameled title plaque. The apex of the cross comprised of a pierced translucent and champlevé enamel decorated circular mandorla. The cross ends terminating with trefoil lobes. At top center on a strawberry red translucent enamel disc is a bust image of God the Father surrounded by an ornate pierced strapwork frame outlined in champlevé enamel. The cross beam ends similarly decorated; the left with a bust of the Virgin and the right with a bust of the Apostle St. John. At the foot of the cross within a similar enameled reserve is the skull of Adam. The front overall engraved with a wavy pattern and the handle set with a champlevé enameled decorative element. The verso engraved overall in a wavy pattern as well as repeating cross forms and strapwork edging. Profusely hallmarked, Moscow, circa 1899-1907, Cyrillic makers mark of Ivan Alekseevich Aleeksev, and 84 silver standard. Exquisite! Height 14 inches (35.5 cm).
A RUSSIAN SILVER FABERGÉ CHARKA, ST. PETERSBURG, 1908-1917. The bowl with rolled rim above a band of laurels and with silver ruble handle dated 1764 displaying a bust portrait of Katherine the Great. Interior brightly gilded, hallmarked St. Petersburg 1908-1917, workmasters initials "S.W" Stephan Wakeva, and 84 silver standard. Length 4.6 inches (11.7 cm).

A bust portrait of the Empress wearing a lace dress, pearl necklace and earrings, signed in Cyrillic lower right in the photo Levitsky and mounted on a cabinet card with embossed silver studio mark of Levitsky, St. Petersburg. The verso printed in Russian "Photographer to the Imperial Family" and the name "Levitsky" with St. Petersburg address. Overall 6.75 inches x 4.4 inches (17 x 11 cm).

Carved in near full round of good proportions and anatomy, cascading beard, tightly carved tonsure and the gilt edging with punched decoration and mounted on a later circular polychrome and gilt wood plaque with raised border. The torso wrapped with grape vines and grape cluster on a molded base with grape vine motif. Some restorations. Apparently unmarked. Height 20.5 inches (52 cm).

The profile portrait carved in high relief with fine detailing, including braided coiffure with curly locks, lace bodice and floral applique. Contained in a well carved frame with beaded border and bellflowers at each corner. Ivory diameter 3 inches (7.8 cm), overall 5.25 inches (14.5 cm) square.
A VERY FINE CARVED IVORY BUST OF LOUISE, AFTER THE ORIGINAL BY EDUARD HOUSSIN (FRENCH 1847- 1917). Raised on a lapis lazuli plinth. Inscribed lower right "E. Houssin Paris". The verso inscribed 301. This bust represents Louise Demont at age six. Louise was the daughter of the painter and friend of Houssin, Adrien Demont, her maternal grandfather was Jules Breton. She later married Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse`s grandson, Albert Ball.

A late 19th Century French gilt metal and porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the back plate detailed `Vincenti & Cie`, the porcelain rectangular dial with Roman numerals, cupids and classical maiden with blue and gilt borders, the porcelain side panels painted with musical instruments, quivers, doves and flowers within similar blue and gilt borders, the rectangular case with Cupid bust surmount above cast classical moulded borders, on foliate capped scroll feet, height approx 35cm, together with pendulum (minor faults).
