After ELSIABETH - LOUISE VIGEE LEBRUN (1755 - 1842) Oval framed, 19th Century, oil on board, bust length portrait, after Lebrun`s self portrait of 1790, which depicts the artist at work with easel and paintbrushes. Inscribed verso, `Woodmanton Manor`. There are at least three known originals of this work, one hanging in the Uffizi Gallery, Florence, with Marie Antoinette believed to be depicted on the sitters canvas, another located at Ickworth House, Suffolk, showing the artists`s daughter, Julie forming on the canvas, and the third at Walford Museum, Hertfordshire, showing Marie Antoinette also, 21cm x 16.5cm.
