A pink and gold damask satin evening ensemble, circa 1929, the dress with gold edged tiered over-skirt which forms a trained panel at the back, matching jacket with shirring to sleeves, bust 92-97cm, 36-38in (2) CONDITION REPORT: Good condition. Slight tarnishing to lame across neckline/shoulders of jacket (minor). Beautiful fabric.

A Pucci sky-blue silk palazzo-pant jumpsuit, late 1960s, labelled, with spaghetti shoulder straps and signature within the kaleidoscopic print, bust 96cm, 38in, waist 71cm, 28in CONDITION REPORT: Good. Soiling to underarms, would benefit from cleaning. Shoulder straps have been folded over and stitched to shorten, minor.
A carved white marble bust of an angel, now mounted on a stepped square wooden plinth base, applied with a brass shield inscribed 'This bust taken from the Ruins of the ..... January 1st 1870', 41cm high. *** The inscription on the shield is to a clergyman but through years of polishing is impossible to read. Illustrated.

In 1555 under the Catholic Queen Mary he was burned at the stake becoming one of the three Oxford Martyrs of Anglicanism
Doris Gerrard (British, 20th century), bust of a young woman, modelled in plaster, her head leans to one side 40 x 50cm (16 x 20in) Doris Gerrard studied at Plymouth Art College in the 1920s. She was married to Charles Gerrard, sometime principal of the J. J. School of Art in Bombay. Beverley Nichols described her 'a sculptress of genius, completely wasted in India'. These works, probably executed between 1945 and 1948 came from her studio sale in the 1990s, the proceeds of which endowed a scholarship in her name at Plymouth
*Shipwreck Artefacts. A piece-of-eight (8 Reales), obverse, bust of Charles III (Spanish King), facing right dated 1783, reverse, Spanish Coat of Arms and mint mark of Mexico, with certificate of authenticity Recovered from the wreck of El Cazador. On 11 January 1784 the ship sailed from Vera Cruz, Mexico for New Orleans carrying 450,000 pesos of minted coins, but disappeared without a trace. The cargo had been intended to redeem nearly worthless Spanish paper currency in circulation in Spanish-owned Louisiana, instead the Spanish had to sell Louisiana and America was instantly doubled! A late Victorian cream chiffon bodice, hand-stitched, short-sleeved, high-necked boned bodice of tucked muslin, with lace inserts, embroidered neckline, and ruched satin waist, metal hook and eye closures, some toning and one or two stains, bust approximately 84cm (33ins), length 48cm (19ins), together with a late Victorian black ribbon tapework bodice, with high chiffon neckline and long tucked chiffon sleeves, metal hook and eye closures, bust approximately 92cm (36ins), length 51cm (20ins), plus a Judith Ann Creations black silk dress with short sleeves and side split, 1980s, heavily beaded all over with black and silver bugle beads, bust approximately 96cm (38ins), plus eighteen other items of vintage clothing, including a late Victorian white muslin dress with lace inserts and green satin sash, a 1920s brown satin dress with cream lace neckline, a 1930s green satin evening gown with flower detail on the back, an early 20th century handmade white cotton blouse, with drawn threadwork and crochet inserts and trim, a black velvet fitted jacket by D.H. Brigham & Company, Springfield, Massachusetts, and two early 20th century long black velvet gowns, one with decorative diamante clasps on bodice and lace trim to neck and sleeves, various sizes and condition (21)
