Very fine and toned, extremely rare; this (unsigned) reverse die apparently unrecorded £200-£260 --- Provenance: bt Spink July 1962 Because this coin is not signed on either obverse or reverse it could potentially belong to Falconer’s anonymous issue, for which the Forty Pence is not a recorded denomination; however, one would expect a coin of the anonymous issue to have a bust within the central circle rather than extending to the edge of the coin.
