Indiana Jones - Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981) - 1981 American action-adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg - a rare original prop special effects head of Colonel Dietrich, as used in the scene in which the Ark of the Covenant is opened and the contents destroyed by the Nazis. The foam latex head based on a lifecast of actor Wolf Kahler, and depicts the character with mouth open, and paint to one eye. Supplied with a selection of photographs showing this bust (and others similar) being used by the VFX team on set. The latex has suffered some drying and splitting, and some loss to the ears, but otherwise remains complete. A rare and interesting piece of Indiana Jones memorabilia. Measures approx; 39cm tall. Provenance; ex-Profiles In History auction
