Lindsey B; a pair of moulded acrylic Art Deco style mannequin busts, signed and dated 1987, height 34.5cm; with a resin flat backed half bust, height 31cm (3). CONDITION REPORT: Resin half bust is cracked to one side, otherwise appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
HENRI LEHMANN (1814-1882) PORTRAIT OF MARIO, THE OPERA SINGER Bust length vignette, signed and date avril 1858, also signed by the sitter, pencil, mounted on board, unframed Image 18 x 15cm. * Giovanni Matteo Mario (1810-1883) was the outstanding Italian operatic tenor of his age, feted in London and Paris, and he married the noted soprano Giulia Grisi (1811-1869) following her divorce from Count de Melcy. The couple had six daughters. Lehmann was a pupil and celebrated associate of Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres whose influence is evident in this finely executed study. ++ Some light staining, foxing and handling marks.
