A Kenneth Potts patinated bronze bust of Edward Elgar. The composer modelled in a thoughtful pose, signed and titled verso, mounted on a square marble base, H17cmPart of a series made by the designer for Worcester High Street Condition Report: absolutely no faults to report, superb order and privately entered. I spoke with artist via email. he was somewhat surprised to hear from me, he was very helpful, confirmed the situation as written in the description and put me right when I mentioned the term maquette ( it was not a maquette). He said there was only about 10 of these ever made this was not the model chosen for Worcester High st. but was put forward at the time as a choice. He told me no more . Believed to be made of bronze. The 'White mark' present under the collar in the photos doesn't appear to be present on the actual sculpture (likely a reflexion).
