ADMIRAL LORD NELSON: A GILT METAL PLAQUE repousse with a profile portrait bust of the Admiral within a border of oak leaves and acorns, in a moulded circular alabaster frame, 5.25" dia.; a gilt metal plaque of Sir Robt. Peel; and a Victorian Grant of Patent to John Colon bearing the Great Seal of Queen Victoria. The seal 6.5" dia. (3)

His 1887 Jubilee Bust of the monarch was reproduced for display throughout the British Empire.

Brit. Regina. F.D." and signed lower down "J. Francis, Sc. London 1853", the Prince inscribed on the reverse "Albertus Dux Saxon AE" and signed lower down "J. Francis Sc London 1853". Prince Albert 31.5" high and Queen Victoria 29.5" high (2) John Francis first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1820 and in 1844 he executed his first bust of Prince Albert at the command of H.M. Queen Victoria.
Victorian bronze presentation Cheselden medal awarded to 4th year students in practical surgery at St Thomas's Hospital, London. The medal was founded by George Vaughan in 1829 and is named after William Cheselden, the famous 18thC surgeon and lithotomist at St Thomas's who was influential in establishing surgery as a scientific medical profession. The medal was designed by William Wyon, RA, and depicts the bust of Cheselden, and verso a cadaver with skull, bones and medicine with Latin inscription 'mors vivis salvs, D78mm
17thC /18thC oil on canvas, half bust portrait of Lucy Hollier (nee Knowles), second wife of Thomas Hollier, who was Samuel Pepys' surgeon. The sitter's granddaughter married Thomas Crawley Boevey who inherited Flaxley Abbey in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, the vendor is a direct decedent of the sitter.
