A Scottish late Georgian eight day mahogany longcase clock, signed Alex. Nimmo, Kirkcaldy, in a case with a swan necked pediment, includes two weights and pendulum, the arched painted face with subsidiary seconds and date dials, 53cm wide, the case 190cm highAlexander Nimmo is listed as working in Kirkcaldy in 1820. It appears his father was a watchmaker, however this may be the same Alexander Nimmo that became a well known civil engineer and was also working in Kirkcaldy for a time.
