Catalogue Note Claude Viet was a Huguenot clockmaker originally from Orléans who moved to London. In 1698 Viet was free from the Watchmaker's Company. He was active between the end of the 17th to the early part of the 18th century and was watchmaker to Queen Anne. He died in 1734.
