IllustratedJohn Inkpen (b. 1700 - d. 1759) is recorded as working 1726 to circa 1765. He married Elizabeth Muzzle (another clockmaker family) of Bolney in 1735 and is understood to have had his workshop in the Carfax, Horsham.This is a finely made movement , unusually for a provincial maker with five pillars, and of high quality finish.
