The moulded pediment with blind fret ornament enclosed by a waist panel door with a glazed oval aperture inlaid with arabesques, foliate scrolls interspersed with birds, butterflies and figures. The plinth with similar decoration on raised bun feet. The 12" square brass dial with crown and putti spandrels, seconds subsidiary and calendar aperture, the twin train five pillar movement of month duration with bolt and shuttle maintaining power, anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike.
