Probably Richard Gilkes, recorded in Loomes, Brian 'Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World, Vol 2' as working in Adderbury 1715-87. Stylistically the movement dates to around 1740 and was originally designed to hang from the wall.

An 18th Century walnut longcase clock by Samuel Holbin of Bitton, the 12ins arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, the arch showing phases of the moon and silvered scale worded "High Water at Bristol Key" to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in figured walnut case, the hood with later shaped and moulded pediment above moulded cornice and blind fret ornament, arched trunk door inlaid with chequered bandings and crossbanded, and with conforming plinth, on bracket feet, 95ins high (lacking pendulum and weights and in need of some restoration)
