Ω A French brass mounted tortoiseshell mantel timepiece in the form of a miniature longcase clock, the dial signed for Philippe, Paris, circa 1900, t he circular single train eight-day movement with platform cylinder escapement regulated by sprung monometallic balance and numbered 2119 to backplate, the circular cream enamel dial inscribed Philippe, AU PALAIS ROYAL to centre, with raised Roman cartouche numerals and fine scroll pierced and engraved gilt brass hands set behind hinged convex bevel glazed bezel, the break-arch top case with brass mouldings to pediment and inset knopped columns flanking dial over concave ebonised throat moulding and recessed panel bordered by brass ogee inset mouldings to trunk, the sides plain, the rear ebonised with hinged circular glazed brass bezel for access to the movement, on plinth base with complex brass top moulding and conforming recessed panel to front over skirt base applied with further cast moulding, (some losses to mouldings), 41cm (16ins) high. A late 19th Century Oak cased, Longcase Regulator Wall Clock by Kendal & Dent of London, having single pane arched top glazed door opening to reveal an alloy face with Roman numerals and inset seconds dial with Arabic numerals, the steel shaft pendulum having a large brass cylindrical bob weight, the movement driven by a large cylindrical brass weight. A small door to the top opens to assist the hanging of the pendulum and via which can be seen the dead-beat escapement having power maintain winding. The door to the case has two brass locks but the keys are not present although a winding key is sold with the clock, 14 1/4'' wide x 56'' high x 9'' deep.
An early 19th century oak and mahogany 8 day longcase clock, the 14in painted dial inscribed 'Robt Hartwell, Nottingham', with moon phase arch, 234cm to top of finial, with weights and pendulum. Condition Report: Has had repairs in various places. The glass door is warped. Has been working in owners house. Crazing and paint lifting at 4 O'Clock on dial. Case has some splitting. Door hinge area has had alteration.
A George III oak, mahogany and inlaid 8 day longcase clock, the 14in painted dial inscribed 'Jas Carter, Warrington', 234cm high, with weights and pendulum. Condition Report: Width at base 21". Width at centre 16 1/2". Depth at base 9". Door slightly warped. Centre of surround has been broken and replaced with a modern brass finial. Damage and repair to moulding on right underside of hood area. Later inlaid shell to door. Some signs of old woodworm in pine part of case. Glass to hood has been replaced at sometime. Hood has signs of restoration. No key present. Weight and pendulum present.

A 19th century oak longcase clock. With double ogee arched pediment with brass scroll ends and finials. Varying cross banding runs the length of the case. A short door is inlaid with marquetry conch shell. The dial is painted with a figure in a rural landscape and Roman numerals. Subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture. Dial signed Brookhouse, Derby. Eight day two-train movement. 83 x 19 in. Unfortunately we are not doing condition reports on this sale.
