A George III oak 30 hour longcase clock. With brass arch top dial having silvered chapter ring and signed Samuel indistinct, Richmond. With caddie top having column supports and with later carved decorations, 205cm high. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Case stripped and later carved as mentioned. Mechanism working but requires a thorough clean. Weights and pendulum present with trunk key but no winding key. Glue residue on the dial probably from spandrels being glued. Glass missing from the door. Hood door re attached with screws and with some cracks.

Having square brass dial ornamented with spandrels, having silvered chapter ring and engraved with stylized flowers, 211cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Some cracks to the base of the trunk. Sold with weights and pendulum. Gut tangled so not currently running.

(illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 2166 The right hand swan neck, to the pediment has been broken and re glued, visible, applied roundels, urn finial possibly replaced, inlay to the frieze once section missing left hand angle upright measures approx: 5 x 0.5cm, small piece of cross banding missing to glazed door border approx: 2 x 2cm, door sits slightly proud of the cabinet, original back board, small piece of beading missing to the raised panel right hand side angle approx: 5cm, case good colour additional break to the left hand swan neck, appearing on the mahogany veneer front, replaced seat board now with later angled brackets supporting it to the back board, movement working with two weights and pendulum.
