H.7ft 3in.
An imposing Oak and Mahogany cased eight-day Longcase Clock having boxwood inlay and cross-banded decoration, the painted face with Roman numerals, inset second hand with floral decoration to the corners and shell decoration to the arch, marked Madinson Donnington, the hood flanked by fluted pillars and having a scroll pediment and eagle and globe finial, 23'' wide x 95'' high approx., This timepiece is in working order appearing to keep good time and strikes the hours on a bell.

Richardson, Weaverham and having seconds dial and date wheel aperture. Brass hands are replacements, 8 day movement striking hours on a bell, with weights and pendulum. Case of oak and inlaid mahogany typical of the Cheshire area with square fluted quarter columns to the trunk. Case and winding keys included and a service report from Eric Gent 1993. 200 cm tall. Thomas Richardson is listed in Loomes as working 1795, there is also a John Richardson, Northwich who may be related.
An impressive early 19th century 8-day bell striking James Robinson of Warrington, longcase clock, painted dial with rolling moon to the arch, the dial corners painted with figures representing the four seasons, the case with flame mahogany veneers, full length three pointed top door, square reeded columns to the trunk and square tapered reeded columns to the hood, canted corner base, ogee bracket feet, with weights and pendulum and winder. (Loomes lists James Robinson as working 1824 to 1834 on Scotland Rd, Warrington), height is approx 233cm(Please note we have more pictures of this clock on our Saleroom catalogue)Condition: Clock Appears complete, largely untouched, no major veneer loss, stringing missing from door, base width is approximately 60 cm, height is 230 cm.
An oak cased 8-day longcase clock with 12 x 17 inch arched brass dial and moonphase, signed to the dial Elizabeth Moore, Loomes listed her as c1780 succeeding her husband Francis Moore, both of whom are recorded as working in Ferrybridge, Yorks, the case has attractive dragons carved into the trunk door, along with other carvings probably done later, with pendulum and two cast lead weights.
An early 19th century marquetry inlaid and crossbanded feathered mahogany veneered eight day longcase clock, the square brass dial inscribed 'John Hartley' and featuring a silvered chapter ring, applied wheel, and engraved applied arch over the centre arbor, movement converted to gong strike probably mid-19th century, with pendulum and weights, winder, keys and book entitled Clock Cleaning and Repairing.

~ A green Japanned eight day longcase clock, signed Daniel Catlin, Lynn Regis, circa 1770, arch pediment, case with gilt painted scenes depicting figures in pagodas and birds amongst foliage, 12-inch arch brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, seconds dial, silvered plaque signed, arch with rocking ''Tempus Fugit'', four pillar movement with an anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, possibly later case, 225cm high . 21.08.19 Pagoda pediment has been reduced, later finials, case with chips and cracks and scratches in parts, painted surfaces are rubbed and faded, dial is discoloured, movement needs cleaning, extra added wooden blocks to both sides of the case cheeks, possibly later case, with pendulum and two weights, pendulum suspension spring is missing.
