A Regency inlaid mahogany eight day longcase clock with moonphase by Thomas Trall of Brisol - the signed, painted arched Roman dial with subsidiary seconds dial and arched date aperture, painted fruit and cornucopia spandrels and a painted moonphase to the arch, fronting a bell strike movement with four knopped pillars, the case with boxwood strung arched hood above a fretwork mask to the glazed door, flanked by ebonised and gilt brass barleytwist columns, above a flame mahogany trunk with conforming columns and feather banding, the similarly banded base with bracket feet, 220.5cm high, lacks pendulum.* The case has been sensitively restored and is in good, very clean condition. There are some minor well executed veneer repairs. Lacks finials from hood. The putty has been renewed to the glazing. The dial is in VG condition, with minor retouches to the edges. The seatboard appears to be original and the movement and case appear to be original to each other. The back feet are missing from the case. The clock is complete with cast iron weights but the pendulum is missing.

A George III mahogany eight-day longcase clock by Richard Biggs of Rumsey (Romsey) - the arched brass dial signed to the centre, with a subsidiary seconds dial, arched date aperture and engraved leafy scrolls, within a Roman chapter ring and gilt-brass floral and C-scroll spandrels, the arch with painted rocking ship automata, fronting a twin train 8-day movement with four knopped pillars, bell strike and anchor escapement, the case with dentil carved arched hood with fluted columns (glass cracked), an arched trunk door with boxwood-strung edges and a plain base with swept feet, 215 cm high.* Very original condition and the case and movement do appear to be original to each other. The glass is cracked. The hood is nicely quality with finely carved columns and dentil carving. Lacks finials. The dial has a nice original patina and the painting to the rocking ship appears original. The case has a good colour and nicely original surface. There is a small piece to the mask around the hood glazing which has been off and glued back in place. The sides of the trunk are free from splits. The inside of the trunk door has a little old (inactive) worm but it is minor. The door lacks the escutcheon. The base has a small split to the top edge of the right hand side panel. The pendulum has snapped off at the lower end of the rod.

An Edwardian mahogany longcase clock, with three train fusee movement by The Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Regent Street London, with both Whittington and Westminster chimes, strike/silent mechanism and three brass cased weights and pendulum. Height 248 cm, maximum width 58 cm, depth 39 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: We currently have the clock running and it is chiming away nicely. The clock is generally in very good order. Showing signs of age-related wear, light dents, scratches etc but nothing massively untoward. There is however in the front panel at the base signs of historic woodworm. Internally it could do with a good clean but other than this it is good to go.

Overall height including finial 227 cm, width 51 cm, depth 25 cm with weights and pendulum (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The dial sheet is 41.5 cm x 30.5 cm. The trunk width is 34 cm.

The 30 hour movement, striking on a bell, with a brass 10 inch dial scumbled centre surrounded by polished brass chapter ring with Roman numerals and ornate cherub and crown spandrels. Nathaniel Voyce is a well-recorded maker from a large family of clockmakers, started by Gamaliel Voyce in the late 17th century, who worked in Mitcheldeane, Gloucestershire. Scrolled arched and inlaid pediment with three brass eagle and ball finials, over turned spiral twist columns with brass caps either side of a glazed arched door, above a wide case with quarter mounted turned spiral twist columns with brass caps flanking a short lockable door with inlaid stringing and escutcheon opening on brass hinges supported by a canted and string inlaid base on bracket feet. Eight day two train movement with anchor escapement, rack striking on a bell. The 13 inch signed, painted domed dial with busy harbour scene to the dome, above a white dial surrounded by flower spray and gilt fan spandrels, Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds and date dials. Pendulum, weight, key and winder present, recently serviced. Height 230cm (inc finials), width 53cm, depth 26.5cm.
An 18th century oak longcase clock, the thirty-hour plated movement striking the hours on a bell with an outside countwheel with the eleven-inch square brass dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals and decorative blued-steel hands, the centre with floral engraved decoration and signed Wm. Swedish birch longcase clock, the circular hood with carved lunette pediment, trunk with long door, plinth base, stringing throughout, 31cm circular painted dial signed A Andersen, eight day movement striking on a bell, height 222cm, with pendulum and weights.Condition report:The condition is generally good, case is an even colour, some small splits and patina, minor scuffs around the plinth and one one side corner of veneer loss, left back corner has veneer split and lifting but is there. dial is slightly discoloured around the edge, a couple of minor scratches but clear, the movement is complete, has had new cord for the weights, comes with two weights and a pendulum, movement does strike the correct time but does not run for very long, probably due to temporary setup here in the saleroom.

Needs some restoration, some damages and trim missing, odd bits present. Untested, has been touched up in places. Hinges and glass good.
A boxwood strung Mahogany cased Longcase Clock having an arched dial with Arabic numerals, inset second hand and date register, the arch with an atmospheric rural scene in olden times with a young lady carrying a basket, her dog gamboling along at her side, a church visible in the distance beyond a lake framed by mature broadleaf trees. To the corners of the face are well painted sea shells and sea weed. The face bears the maker's name "W. Coulson, N. Shields" and the eight day two train movement strikes the hours on a bell, 96 3/8" high x 20" wide x 9 1/4" deep, The arched hood is flanked by spherical finials and there is a 2 1/2" high central plinth present, for a finial but the third finial is absent, the clock was running during the days of cataloguing.
