There are numerous small ding and marks and bruises but nothing significant. There is no obvious evidence of woodworm, again the hood has some small marks to the corners and some slight cracking to the veneer to the front left hand bottom corner. The reeded columns are in good condition and appear free from any obvious sign of damage. The door functions correctly however there is some wear in the hinges but they do appear to be original and the screws appear to also be original. The weight and crank handle are present, along with the pendulum, the dial does have some wear to the silvering. In general this is commensurate with age and the door to the hood has some damage to the veneer around the lock area and some cracking to the bottom of the door. The door hinges appear to function correctly, the glass is free from any cracks or damage and appears to be original. The bottom hinge is detached with no screws present and the top hinge has one modern screw. We do not appear to have a key for the hood door. The mechanism appears to be complete but we cannot warrant its originality. The clock winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested. Prospective bidders are advised to study all images carefully prior to bidding.
