A Mahogany cased Longcase Clock having an arched door and mirrored swan-neck pediment, the arched painted face with a nicely detailed hunting scene, gilded and floral corners and having Arabic numerals, the maker being ''Potts,York'', running at the time of lotting, 19 1/8'' wide x 9 1/4'' deep x 89 1/4'' high, striking the hours on a bell, and with inset second hand and date register.
A boxwood strung Mahogany cased Longcase Clock having an arched dial with Arabic numerals, inset second hand and date register, the arch with an atmospheric rural scene in olden times with a young lady carrying a basket, her dog gamboling along at her side, a church visible in the distance beyond a lake framed by mature broadleaf trees. To the corners of the face are well painted sea shells and sea weed. The face bears the maker's name "W. Coulson, N. Shields" and the eight day two train movement strikes the hours on a bell, 96 3/8" high x 20" wide x 9 1/4" deep, The arched hood is flanked by spherical finials and there is a 2 1/2" high central plinth present, for a finial but the third finial is absent, the clock was running during the days of cataloguing.
An early 20th century miniature longcase clock, the silk covered mahogany case with gilt ormolu mounted decoration, housing a thirty hour movement stamped 'The British Clock Co Ltd', faced by ivorine Roman dial, standing on a shaped plinth base. 42cm tall. Age related wear and tear to include fading to the silk coverings and tarnishing to the ormolu mounts.The clock is fully wound and is not working - needs attention.

Sheet attached inside the case door states the history of this clock, including that this clock is described in Alan Lloyd's Chats On Old Clocks 1917, and subsequently exhibited in an exhibition of English clocks at Temple Newton House Leeds 1949, provenance: from a local deceased estate.
