A George III oak and mahogany longcase clock, with swan's neck pediment above the arched glazed door flanked by simple pillars enclosing the 13.25ins. arched brass dial by Edward Barlow, Oldham with moon phase, foliate spandrels, silvered chapter ring and subsidiary seconds dial with eight day striking movement, the case with arched crossbanded trunk door flanked by fluted columns and with conforming base raised on bracket feet, height 93ins. This clock has had the movement recently restored at a cost of some £500 (receipt available). (see illustration)
A 19th century mahogany longcase clock, by Spittall Whitehaven having a swan's neck pediment and arched glazed door flanked by turned columns enclosing the 14inch arched painted dial decorated with hunting scenes and with Roman numerals subsidiary date and seconds dials and eight day striking movement with short shaped trunk door beneath flanked by turned pillars and with conforming base raised on ogee bracket feet.
