An Art Deco Dressing Table, French circa 1930, in maple, the four drawer construction raised on central support flanked by two splayed supports, the semi circular central shelf with glass cover supporting the circular bevelled mirror with chrome decorative ball supports and with chrome drawer handles, 134cm high, 127cm wide, 55cm deep
A 19th Century Lancashire oak court cupboard or duodarn (probably Lake District), the moulded cornice above a plain frieze and turned and ringed drops, the upper section with two arched fielded panels flanked by similarly decorated cupboard doors on a base of three drawers over two fielded panel cupboard doors enclosing a shelf, raised on stile supports, 146 cm wide x 180.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wood, some fading and discoloration in areas and areas of staining. The lock mechanism on one of the cupboard doors on the top section has been replaced. Hinges are loose on both cupboard doors. Evidence of old worm on the inside of both doors. Evidence of old worm and areas of loss to the base of the top section on the inside. Areas of loss to the drawers on the bottom section of the cupboard. Evidence of old worm. Possible repair work on the drawers. Handles have been replaced. Some split and old repairs to the left hand cupboard door also to sections of the right hand cupboard door. Evidence of old worm to the inside of both of the cupboard doors on the base and areas of loss to the wood. Areas of loss and old worm to the legs. One of the side panels has come loose and is pushed inwards. Possible replacement panels to the back. Evidence of old worm on the panels to the back as well. Wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details
A Louis Vuitton suitcase with monogram print exterior, brass and leather trim, opening to reveal a canvas lined interior with pull out shelf, bears label indistinctly numbered "61794" , locks stamped: Mrs.Ann Starkey nee Jones, the vendors mother) CONDITION REPORTS 55 cm wide x 36 cm deep x 22 cm high. Numerous surface scratches, scuffs and accretions to the outside of the case. Tarnishing and scuffs to the brass protectors and the clasps. All clasps work. Some water staining, fading and discolouration to the front of the case. Also fading and some discolouration to the rest of the outside especially to the leather banding. Cloth on the inside has numerous areas of staining. Some fading and discolouration in areas. Areas of foxing and numerous accretions. Remnants of old travel labels to outside. Item has wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
An oak fire surround with triple arch panelled superstructure Circa 1900. Overall condition is generally good though the polished finish to the wood is very uneven. The over mantle section is extremely dusty and possibly slightly mouldy. The central arched panel is splintered on one side at the edge. A number of nails have been hammered in on the shelf below the arch.
