Dostoevsky (Fyodor Mikhailovich) The Friend of the Family; and The Gambler, first edition in English, half-title with advertisement to verso, 2pp. advertisements at rear, short tear to rear endpaper, joints starting but holding firm, original cloth, slight shelf-lean, spine rubbed and darkened, spine ends and corners bumped, small splash mark to upper cover, extremities rubbed, 8vo, Vizetelly & Co., 1887.⁂ The rare first English edition of Dostoevsky's darkly comic novel The Gambler written when the author himself was deeply in debt due to his gambling addiction. We can trace only one other copy of this edition at auction.
Berkeley (Anthony) Not to be Taken, first edition, original cloth, slight shelf-lean, very light fading to spine, dust-jacket, spine ends and corners chipped and creased, lower panel a little spotted with some light surface soiling, light rubbing to extremities, [Hubin p. 68], 8vo, 1938.⁂ An attractive copy of this scarce Golden Age Detective Fiction title.
Fleming (Ian) The Spy Who Loved Me, first edition, variant issue with printer's quad mark to title, signed by Henry Blofeld on endpaper, bookplate of Thomas Blofeld to endpaper, original boards, slight shelf-lean, dust-jacket, very slight toning to spine, light creasing to spine ends and corners, an excellent example overall, 8vo, 1962.⁂ Thomas Robert Calthorpe Blofeld (1903-1986) attended Eton with Fleming, his name is thought to be the inspiration for the supervillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Henry Blofeld (b. 1939) his son, cricket commentator and broadcaster. Although Blofeld does not feature in the novel, he was originally scripted to appear as the villain in the film adaptation until an injunction blocked Eon Productions from using the character.

Pepper's (mono original wide spine PMC 7027 -1/-1 - Ex/Ex with red inner and cut-out, a little shelf wear towards the top), Rubber Soul (PMC 1267 1st 'loud cut' -1/-1 mono - VG+ some light surface marks/Ex+ ace condition clean sleeve), With The Beatles (PMC 1206, early pressing, lesser seen 6N/6N matrix endings, KT tax code side 2, 'Dominion' - VG+/VG+), A Hard Day's Night (PMC 1230 3N/3N orig - VG+/VG+), Beatles For Sale (PMC 1240 4N/3N - solid VG/Ex) and Help! (PMC 1255 -2/-2 orig - VG+/Ex).
THE BEATLES - WHITE ALBUM (ORIGINAL UK MONO PMC 7067/8 - NUMBER 0062459). A solid example original UK mono copy of The White Album. With 'Sold In UK' and 'Mfd. In UK.' text and no 'EMI Recording'. Record 1 is in VG condition with some surface markings to the playing surfaces, there are no scratches. Record 2 is in VG condition with some surface marks to the playing surfaces and a light scratch on side 4. -1/-1/-1/-1 matrix endings. With 2 x original black inners (both a little torn). No other inserts. The top loading sleeve is in VG condition with some light creases/ringwear and some noted shelf wear.
RINGO STARR LPs (INCLUDING SCOUSE THE MOUSE). Excellent clean bundle of 3 x original title LPs from Ringo. Titles are Scouse The Mouse (UK original Polydor 2480 429 - archive condition record looking very much unplayed/with Ex condition competition insert, a little foxing/Ex+ or 'NM' sleeve, some very slight shelf wear), Beaucoups Of Blues (UK original PAS 10002 - superb archive copy throughout showing very little wear) and Sentimental Journey (UK original PCS 7101 - archive record/Ex sleeve, light crease on the front top right corner). Provenance: From the collection of Don George - a BBC Radio 1 producer from its inception in 1967 until his retirement in the late 80’s.

In UK.' texts, with no 'EMI Recording' on record 1, with 'EMI Recording' on record 2. Record 1 is in VG+ condition with some light surface/hairline marks, none of which are heavier. Record 2 is in similar VG+ condition with some light surface/scuff marks, again none heavier. -1/-1/-1/-1 matrix endings. With 2 black inners (1 original, torn, 1 reproduction), no other inserts. The top loading original sleeve is in neat VG+ condition with some light creases and some shelf wear.
