Y  A REGENCY ROSEWOOD, INLAID AND GILT-METAL MOUNTED PIER CABINETCIRCA 1810, IN THE MANNER OF JOHN MCLEANWith a raised open tier superstructure above a frieze drawer and a pleated fabric panel door, on bobbin-turned feet with castors107cm high, 53cm wide, 35cm deep Condition Report: Marks, scratches, chips and abrasions consistent with age and use.Some small repairs including: a join to the brass gallery suggesting some reworking to the upper tier; some refixing and later sections to the stringing, beading and moulding; the frieze drawer previously with interior fittings now removed.The tier shelf is slightly bowed with cracks beside the screws.Lock original to drawer, replaced to door.Some fading.Evidence of old worm to the base and backboards, some cracks to the backboards with fabric tape over them.The fabric slightly loose and worn with some holes and marks.All that said these comments on condition are only generally apparent on close inspection.Inscribed to the side of the drawer in pencil 'Bought by Rev J Grant at the Geilden House Auction Given to Mary A Grant'Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. Condition Report Disclaimer
