A 17th century and later oak court cupboard. Of peg construction, with carved panel to the top bearing later insert carved date of 1666 and initials RHN. H140cm x W119cm x D50cm. Condition Report: Appears in a fair condition for its age, structurally sound, wear and marks conducive with use. Repaired split right hand of the frieze and several repairs along the top edge. Lock functions key present top cupboard, bottom cupboard replacement lock no key. Ring marks and fading to the shelf. Base of the feet on the right hand side have been replaced. Currently, when the keys are depressed, the corresponding flag will rise, the bell will ring and the drawer will pop open. One key has a tendency to jam.The tile shelf is loose and chipped to one corner. Chips similarly to glass. Overall wear and patination. Upper lefthand keys with heavy wear. Splashes of candle wax, paint etc. to exterior. One metal cap for the glazed display is broken, with losses."
