An ebony two-door cabinet, Holland, 2nd half of the 17th century. Profiled straight roof with two carved medallions, panelled doors with cushions on which carved vines are placed between semi-circular columns with capital as styles, inside shelf supports and doors, underneath a drawer, at the front resting on ball feet with intermediate rail, h 208 x w 180 x d72 cm (worm damage).

Metal rod supports with scuffs and losses to finish throughout and with some signs of oxidation to exposed metal (please see photographs for quantity of metal supports). Locking mechanism to fall-front unit is slightly stiff but in working order. Please note two upright are 211cm high, and two uprights are 202cm high.

A chrome display cabinet, c.1940, French, with a mirrored back and adjustable shelves,131cm wide50cm deep178cm highCondition ReportPreviously with doors which are now not present, so it has an open facade. General knocks, small dents, surface and light scratches throughout commensurate with age and use. Some light scratches and wear to the glass, with one or two chips to the top shelf. Some heavier wear and scratches to the mirrored glass of the lowest shelf. Some scuffs and paint marks to the back edges of the frame. Joints are sound and solid, and overall it appears in reasonably good order and is perfectly usable.
