An Edwardian mahogany glazed display cabinet, with ebony and boxwood stringing and crossbanding throughout, the raised back over a flared top with a faux marquetry foliate swag cornice, over astrogal glazed cupboard doors enclosing a single shelf, with two plain frieze drawers and a shaped apron on square tapering supports united by an undertier, raised on spade feet, 48½ x 14¼in. (123.1 x 36.1cm.), 68in. (172.7cm.) high.
A fine 19th century Anglo-Indian carved rosewood dresser, carved overall with pierced floral, foliate and scroll decoration, the top section with pierced gallery over an open shelf and two pierced cupboard doors, the cupboard section possibly later, enclosing two shelves, the base section with egg and dart carved moulded edge and stylised floral and foliate meander frieze over an open curved base with heavily carved and pierced back and side supports, on scroll feet, 51.75in. (129cm.) wide x 74.25in. (188.5cm.) high x 23.5in. (59.5cm.) deep.
An Ercol light elm cocktail or drinks cabinet, 1960s-70s, the fall front enclosing a split interior with two adjustable shelves, over a two door cupboard with single shelf and lower full width drawer, maker's blue and silver label inside one door, on castors, 32¼ x 17¼in. (82 x 43.75cm.), 43¼in. (110cm.) high.
An Ercol Bosco light oak sideboard, 21st century, with inset maker's plaque inside drawer, with rounded end angles and four central drawers flanked by a cupboard door to each side, enclosing a single half-depth shelf, with cut-out half-moon handles, on stile feet, 68 x 17¾in. An early 19th Century Welsh oak Deuddarn two part cupboard, the cavetto moulded, overhanging cornice with turned vase pendants, over two ogee panelled doors enclosing a single fixed shelf, the base with two short drawers over a pair of triple panelled doors enclosing an interior with single half-depth shelf, on stile feet, 43¾ x 21¾in. (111 x 55.25cm.), 74½in. (189.25cm.) high, lacks left side of cornice.
A good Edwardian mahogany and satinwood glazed cupboard bookcase, the dentil cornice over a satinwood banded frieze and pair of satinwood banded doors with 13 pane astragal glazing, enclosing three adjustable shelves, the base with a pair of panelled doors enclosing a single shelf, raised on bracket feet, 42¼ x 17¾in. (107.5 x 45cm.), 83in. (211cm.) high.* Condition: In very good condition overall and very original. Good even colour and surface throughout. All original hinges and locks - key is present and locks work correctly to both top & base. Original glass. Small touched in repairs to small shrinkage cracks to sides of the top of the base secttion, where it joins the bookcase top. These are minor. Deep scratches to interior shelf of base section. Interior depth of bookcase section 10in. (25.4cm.).
Y A REGENCY ROSEWOOD AND SATINWOOD INLAID SIDE CABINETIN THE MANNER OF GEORGE OAKLEY, CIRCA 181585cm high, 90cm wide, 41cm deep Condition Report: There are some marks, scratches, knocks, chips and abrasions consistent with age and use. Overall the side cabinet is clean with a shellac style finish.The top has some small opaque flecks to one corner area and some grain filler. The sides are darker in colour probably due to sun fading.Some of the stringing to the rounded corners and borders is lifting, some patch veneers.The lock is later and is out, but has no metal section into which to engage with the adjacent door. There is no key.The pleated silk fabric has marks and stains and does not sit quite flat.The back is of dark stained panelled construction. The interior is ebonised with a later shelf and shelf fittings.There are sections of line border missing to the lower edge of the cabinet.There is evidence of worm including to the underside.Please see the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition. Y A REGENCY ROSEWOOD AND BRASS MARQUETRY SIDE CABINET CIRCA 1820 91.5cm high, 158cm wide, 35cm deep Condition Report: Cabinet with marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old splits and chips. Some lifting to brass stringing and inlay in places. Old repairs - see images. Section of moulding to one side of the top is detached but present.Some minor undulation to the timber of the top. Later baize lining to the interior of the drawers. This bears the expected wear, tears and some losses. Some glue residue and later small nails to backboards. Half of the lower shelf to the interior has been removed. Old repair to one rear foot where it has been re-attached. Screws and glue have been used and one of the screws pokes through into the interior of the cabinet. There are various splits, losses and glue residue visible where the foot meets the cabinet. The other rear foot is slightly loose. One front foot has various repairs and sections of replacement timber. Some old worm holes visible. Pleated silk to the doors is later and has wear and discolourations. No key present, lock to door is open. Timber catch to the interior of the doors appears to be later and has a section of loss.There is a gap between doors when closed. AN 17TH CENTURY AND LATER OAK DRESSER BASEWith three drawers over three geometric moulded cupboards on bracket feet, 202cm wide; 90cm highCondition report: Inevitable scuffs, scrathes, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.Obvious later elements including handles to the top, later feet, later board to the back with various cut outs (see extra image), later ply board shelf. The join to bracket feet to the right side front corner is opening up. Previously with a superstructure to the top, with shadows and marks to the side and missing section to running the width of the back edge. The internal depth of the bottom half is 43cm.
