L RIEDLER "Cats raiding tea table", oil on panel, signed bottom left, and "Cats planning an attack on a plate of fish", oil on panel, signed bottom right, a pair, 31 cm x 15.5 cm (2) CONDITION REPORTS There do not appear to be any labels of any relevance on the back, though there is some writing (please see photos). Both paintings in frames, which are giltwood and gesso scrolling foliate decorated frames with some damage and repairs throughout. One of the pair of paintings is slightly lighter in overall colour than the other - the example with three kittens admiring a fish upon a shelf appears to be slightly lighter, the four kittens on a tea table has a slightly darker background though the front of the image is equally light as the other. Overall image condition of both appears to be good. Under UV light there appears to be no restoration or touching up. (Provenance : from a Deceased Estate, Carmarthenshire)
