Walford, 1698, title-page printed in red and black, eng. port. of Brian Walton, additional eng. title-page within an architectural border by Hollar, early leaves rather dusty, light damp-stain towards the end of the volume, generally in good, crisp condition, contemp. blind stamped vellum, spine hand-lettered, soiled, red edges, folio. Wing B2801A, citing just 2 copies. The fourth and latest of the great Polyglot Bibles, known as the London, or Walton's Polyglot, was first published in 6 volumes in 1655-57. The New Testament was issued separately, as here, with a fresh title-page and the addition of the "variis lectionibus", in 1698. From the Bristol Baptist College Library, with an indelible stamp on the front pastedown and small shelf number on the title page. (1)

A pair of late Victorian marquetry inlaid display cabinets, the arched pediment inlaid urns above an adjustable shelf enclosed by a pair of astragal glazed doors, to satinwood crossbanded serpentine front bases, with two drawers on square tapering legs, 5ft 10.5in (179cm) h, 28.5in (72.5cm) w, 21.5in (54.5cm) d. An Edwardian inlaid mahogany breakfront side cabinet, with scallop shell centred foliate inlaid shallow arch crest over single shelf mirror back upstand and moulded edge top with arched recess, above trident and laurel wreath inlaid door flanked by adjustable open bookshelves to each side, on plinth base, 150cm high, 122cm wide, 35cm deep.
A good William IV carved rosewood chiffonier, the single shelf mirror backed upstand with leafy scroll carved crest over scroll uprights, the Carrara marble topped base with curved tablet centred moulded front frieze drawer over twin shaped mirror panel doors flanked by acanthus and lotus carved pilasters, on lion paw feet, 151cm high, 114cm wide, 41cm deep.
A Victorian carved mahogany and floral marquetry chiffonier, the upper section with an acanthus and dentilled pediment above a central bevelled mirror with a cushion moulded surround, flanked by two small cupboards, displaying carved dragon panels, raised on bulbous turned supports, above a lower section, consisting of a bow fronted central cupboard, flanked on either side by three short drawers, on ten bulbous turned supports, united by a shelf above ten turned feet, 206cm high, 188cm wide, 74cm deep
Dutch walnut and marquetry Display Cabinet, decorated throughout with trailing flowers and foliage, boxwood stringing and narrow banding, cavetto moulded cornice, two glazed doors to the upper section, enclosing three serpentine shelves, arched glazed "windows" and canted corners, two doors below with a single shelf, ebonised bun feet, basically early 19th Century, width 180cms, height 120cms.
George III mahogany Chiffonier, raised back with a single shelf, brass half gallery supported by brass columns, variegated marble top, shallow frieze drawer, two doors below enclosing two shelves, flanked by shallow leaf-capped "corbels", moulded drum feet, width 99cms, height 122cms.
