An early 19th Century oak dresser, the boarded plate rack with central recess flanked by three open shelves over a long lower shelf, the base with five drawers with turned knob handles over a shaped apron on turned and ringed tapering supports to the pot board, on stile supports CONDITION REPORTS Show general signs of wear and tear conducive to age with some splits and scratches throughout. (see images) Joints, corners and edges show wear conducive to age and use. The top cornice loose to edge and one end missing (see image) Hock along top two missing to one end and one repaired. Boards along the back show signs of shrinkage conducive to age and drying out, some colour difference throughout the piece. The top of the dresser base has a large crack running from left side to approx half way across the top (see image) staining to top of piece from vase, ink etc in various places (see images) some small splits running from right hand side. The plate rack is possibly a marriage but is attached to the main body of the piece and would need to be professional removed from the base. Drawers show signs to wear throughout and one handle on top left drawer back is half missing, bottom boards show signs of wear with age and several have splits running through centre front to back, corners have knocks and dump particular left corner is missing section (see image) feet have probably be replaced but some time ago. Overall appears sound but would benefit from restoration. There are various other pieces of repair throughout the dresser
