Boards show minor bumps to all corners and expected shelf wear to lower edges. DJ shows chips to top and bottom edges (particularly at spine), a 2.5cm tear at top of spine, a 2cm tear at base of spine and staining throughout, but no tape repairs.

A late Victorian oak compactum wardrobe, by James Shoolbred of London, the outswept pediment with dentil moulding, above a floral and foliate carved frieze, above three carved panelled doors, opening to reveal a shelf over a hanging rail and hooks, flanked to the right by a shelf, three trays and three frieze drawers, raised on a plinth base, 212cm high, 197cm wide, 61cm deep.

Y A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND SATINWOOD SIDE CABINET IN THE MANNER OF THOMAS SHERATON, CIRCA 1790 Incorporating 'quadrant' corners and wire trellis panelled doors 94cm high, 131cm wide, 40.2cm deep Provenance: Private Collection, Cheshire A pair of cabinets of this exact form were sold at Christie's, London, Important English Furniture, 27th November 2003, Lot 112 (£35,850 incl. BP) Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and usesome old chips and splits. Some additional old dark marks and scratches to the top (see images) The wire-work panels to the doors are generally in tidy condition with some fairly minimal undulation. The pleated fabric behind is neat and clean and likely relatively recently replaced. Old evidence of fabric being pinned to the reverse of the door panels (as often seen for items of this type and period) (see images) Some natural fading overall and to a slightly higher degree to the top due to its position and cleaning. Lock and escutcheon appear original. Lacking key. The door closes and stays closed currently. May be possible to locate a key to operate the lock if required Original fixed single shelf to the interior. Rear panels original. Overall in tidy condition for its age.Condition Report Disclaimer
Y A REGENCY MAHOGANY AND EBONY INLAID LIBRARY DESK BY GEORGE BULLOCK, CIRCA 1815 The rounded rectangular black-leather inset top flanked by a pair of panelled doors, enclosing a shelf, the reverse with a triple-panelled fall-flap enclosing a shelf, flanked on each side by a panelled door enclosing a shelf 75.5cm high, 209.5cm wide, 93.5cm deep Provenance: Supplied to Robert Ferguson, M.P. (d. 1840) for Raith House, Kirkcaldy, Fife, and thence by descent Christie's, London, Important English Furniture and Carpets (6321), 6th July 2000, Lot 81 (£52,875 incl. BP), offered alongside three other lots by George Bullock as part of the same commission for Raith House (Lots 80-83). This fine and rare library desk was supplied by George Bullock for 'The Hall' at Raith House, Kirkcaldy, Fife. It is listed in the 1895 'Inventory of the Mansion House of Raith, Kirkcaldy', p.31, by Alexander Dowell as a 'Mahogany and inlaid pedestal writing table'. Robert Ferguson, M.P. for Fife and his wife, the former Countess of Elgin, employed Bullock to transform their villa in the most fashionable antique taste. It typifies the popular Grecian style of the early 19th century, utilising bold architectural form and elegant 'Grecian' ebony inlay, popularised by Thomas Hope's, Household Furniture and Interior Decoration, 1807 and George Smith's, Collection of Designs for Household Furniture and Interior Decoration, 1808.
Large late Victorian mahogany two-door wardrobe containing a clothes rail and numerous coat hooks, 230cm high x 122cm wide x 74cm deep Condition ReportNew rail mounted to interior, hinges are lacking several screws, small holes to interior were a hook or other rail fitting is now lacking, probably lackng an internal shelf, some wear and scuffing overall, most noticeable to the front, the edges and around hinges (doors have been reattached and there is some wear around the hinges).
