A Victorian cast iron hall stand, with mirror, shelf and drip trays. Width 72 cm. The only minor issue that we can see is that there perhaps should be some form of retaining bar for umbrellas to the left and right of the marble shelf. There is a hole on the backplate on both sides but no apparent fixing point at the front so we are really not sure whether there is a hoop missing or not. The mirror plate is in generally good order with only minor signs of perishing.

A 19th century Moorish bone inlaid overmantle, fitted with a mirror and series of open shelves, pillars and arches. Width 120 cm, height 132 cm, depth 27 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This is a very interesting piece of furniture but does have some issues. The top pediment is largely detached and there is approximately a 20 cm section missing. The cornice is currently in five pieces. Other that than the broken cornice the piece is in generally good structural condition with no other major issues. The colour is generally good. The top left bone and ebony star has some losses. To the left of the centre panel there are two further star points missing to the left of the right hand arcade. If you look carefully at the images you will see other minor losses to the ebony and mother of pearl. None of these are particularly problematic but are visible on close inspection. The right hand second shelf is completely missing one ebony and mother of pearl star. The centre arch is missing one fretwork point and there are stress fractures to the panel at the centre top. The piece also has some woodworm which should be treated just in case it is still active. In our opinion it probably is not but it is best to be safe.
