A late 50s/ early 1960s dress suit by Mandell Couture consisting of a tailored dress with shelf bust and a boxy jacket in blue wool with a black and purple painterly flower print, a late 1950s silk dress suit in a mustard chartreuse silk shantung with blue flowers and a blue lining by Roter Couture. The dress is fitted with an asymmetric draped swag back and comes with a versatile duster coat, also a 1940s powder blue lace dress with pink lining and paste and pearl studded trim labelled 'the original key to youth fashion' (3)

A 1950s evening gown in turquoise shot taffeta with a boned, shelf bodice and full, mermaid hem skirt (30 inch/ 76 cm waist) along with a crushed raspberry mousseline gown with mauve acetate lining, wide straps and a side metal zipper (27 inch/ 68 cm waist) (2) both in generally good condition with wear commensurate with age, turquoise gown has some damage to the side of the skirt
SHAPLAND & PETTER, BARNSTAPLE; an Art & Crafts walnut bookcase, with three-quarter galleried top shelf with inset copper repoussé panel bearing the motto 'The sweet serenity of books' by poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, above open shelf with spindle column border, the central body comprising a pair of leaded glazed doors with copper strap hinges flanked by a pair of open shelves above two-division shelf, shaped apron and raised on square section baluster legs to peg feet, 155 x 126 x 40cm.Condition Report: - Overall good condition, shallow scratch to right-hand side lower section. Shelf above doors has surface scratches visible. Inside of doors has white powder residue on the lead. Copper has even patina, leather shelf fringes worn with several missing, otherwise appears to be in good condition.
A small group of occasional tables, comprising an Edwardian satinwood oval-topped occasional table raised on square tapering supports united by an X-shaped shelf, raised on peg feet, 71.5 x 63 x 42cm, two mahogany wine tables, an early 20th century oak circular-topped occasional table raised on barleytwist block stretchered support and a reproduction burr walnut demi-lune hall table with inset glass panel, raised on carved slender cabriole legs to pad feet (5).
A GEORGE II OAK BOOKCASE MID-18TH CENTURY The moulded dentil cornice above a pair of glazed doors enclosing three shelves, the base with fielded panelled doors, on bracket feet, the glass apparently largely original 225cm high, 120cm wide, 40cm deep Condition Report: Overall in good condition, clean and structurally secure with a good dry and faded surface overall. There is general wear and tear consistent with age and use, dents, marks and scratches and shrinkage cracks. As noted the glass appears to be largely original, the metalwork old but probably not original, the locks likely replaced. Feet apparently original. The shelves reconfigured, they have a double-D moulded fore-edge and are almost certainly original but they have been moved (sawn through at the sides and the redundant rebates filled), there remain three shelves in the upper section, one in the lower section (the second shelf now missing). They are apparently extended at the back edges by an inch or so. There is a strip of veneer banding (front to back) to top of both sides of the base, to the left side this is lifting slightly. There is a repair to the cornice return on the left side. Some backboards replaced. Otherwise in good and ready-to use condition, a good functional cabinet in restrained George II taste. Y  A GEORGE III SATINWOOD AND AMARANTH CROSSBANDED CLOTHES PRESS POSSIBLY BY INCE AND MAYHEW, CIRCA 1780 With a moulded and false dentil cornice above a pair of oval panelled doors enclosing hanging space, the base with two short and two graduated long drawers with original gilt-brass handles on shaped bracket feet, slight shrinkage to door panels 205cm high, 143cm wide, 68cm deepProvenance: Acquired from Quinney's Ltd, Chester, 1965 Please note, Dreweatts have applied for a de minimis exemption licence for the ivory in this lot (Ref:7EB6TF5Z ) Condition Report: Overall in good condition, structurally secure with wear and tera consistent with age and use. There are inevitable minor dents marks and scratches. The satinwood is slightly sun-faded overall with a beautiful mellow colour. The oval door panels have suffered shrinkage but crucially the y have not split, there are consequently small gaps around their edges where they have pulled away from the door frames. There is additionally minor shrinkage in the angles joints of the doors. There are old repaoirs to all the feet, including a few minor veneer repairs. The slides in the upper section now lost, the interior is material-lined and with a hanging rail. There are (apparently, hidden by the lining) two redundant mortices in the insides of each side, presumably where a shelf was fitted. The ivory escutcheon to right door now missing. A pair of French gilt-bronze wall brackets, Of Regence style, late 19th century / early 20th century, Each with an associated breakfront shelf, above a pierced backplate centred by a satyr mask surrounded by rockwork and foliage with C-scrolls, 26.5cm high, 21.2cm wide, 11.5cm deep (2)Condition Report: The platforms to each bracket are possibly associated. The gilded with rubbing and rubbed areas overall. The nose of each satyr with small dents. There is a casting fault to the pierced rockwork one bracket beneath the scroll.
Austen, Jane " Pride and Prejudice" ills by Hugh Thomson, George Allen 1894, preface by George Saintsbury, Peacock Edition, frontis with tissue guard, ills throughout, original blue boards, decorated in gilt featuring a peacock, the book is cracked, text clean and tidy, the corners are bumped and have some loss, the top and tail of the back strip indented from shelf wear with tiny splits.
