An Edwardian inlaid mahogany serpentine fronted corner cupboard, with swans neck pediment above a glazed door enclosing shelves, the base fitted with a pair of panelled cupboard doors, with shelf beneath and all raised on splayed feet. Width 77 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The swans neck pediment is in good condition. The door is not warped, it closes correctly. There are no cracks to the glass. The mahogany to the upper section is in very good condition. The base is in generally good order. There is a dent to the very centre top edge of the base. The doors are not warped and in good condition and close correctly. The shelf is in good condition. The legs are original with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There are minor scuffs and surface blemishes but no significant issues with this lot.
An early Victorian mahogany chiffonier, with triangular pediment and shelf, single drawer, pair of panelled cupboard doors and raised on bun feet. Width 85 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The top shelf has small veneer losses to the top right and left corners and several nibbles to the top edge. The top of the base is flat and of good colour. There are scuffs to the veneers on the corners and minor nibbles to both left and right hand returns. The sides have old stress fractures but these are not problematic. The doors are in good condition, not warped and shut as they should. There is a lock escutcheon missing. The plinth base has veneer nibbles. The feet are original and in good order.
A Victorian walnut octagonal occasional table, inlaid and crossbanded and raised on turned and fluted supports with low shelf, splayed legs and castors. Width 64 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is in generally good original condition. The top is flat and not warped. There is however some roughness to the veneer which is slightly bubbled in places. None of this is particularly significant. There are no veneer losses to the top. The octagonal edge is a little scuffed in places. The four turned supports are in good condition as is the shelf and the gallery. One of the legs has been broken and repaired and is slightly loose at the joint. The repair is reasonably good but the timber colour is slightly different. There is no evidence of woodworm.
A 19th century mahogany four tier open shelf unit, with bobbin turned supports between each shelf. Width 65 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This shelf unit will have had a double set of front spindles. Only one set is now present and the holes for the second set are visible on all four shelves. The top three shelves are in good order with the exception of the holes. The bottom shelf has a 12 inch crack running from the left hand side into the main body of the shelf, this has old filler. The turned columns are all in generally good order with no issues. The colour of the piece is generally good and original.
An Edwardian floral marquetry kidney shaped two tier side table, fitted with a frieze drawer and with gilt brass mounts, raised on cabriole legs terminating in sabot feet. Width 70 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The brass gallery is in good structural order but has lost much of its original gilding. The top is in good condition with no lifting to the marquetry. The drawer is in good condition, we have the lock and the key. The frieze and marquetry are all in good condition. The lower shelf is in good order as is the marquetry. The legs are all in good order with no breaks. All of the metalwork is present but has lost some of its original finish.
A Victorian mahogany chiffonier, with shaped pediment and shelf with turned supports above the base fitted with a shallow drawer above a pair of panelled cupboard doors, with moulding below and raised on bun feet. Width 108 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The rear shelf and pediment are in good condition. The top is flat with no damage. The front drawer is in good order with only very minor edge nibbles. The cupboard doors are not warped and shut as they should. The pillars are not loose. The sides of the piece are in good condition. The bun feet are original and have no problems.
An early Victorian walnut Davenport, with three quarter gallery, slope front to fitted interior, scroll supports, fitted with four drawers and raised on a plinth base. Width 61 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Good original condition. The gallery is in good order as is the top shelf. The slope front has small veneer losses to the top left hand corner, bottom left corner, bottom right corner and top right corner. this is just to the crossbanding on the edge. There are various other small veneer losses but none are significant. The writing leather is scuffed and tired. The interior is complete with all drawers. There are several ink marks to the interior. The dummy drawers are all in good condition. The actual drawers are also all in good order with only very minor veneer nibbles. Both front supports are in good condition. The base is a little scuffed as one would expect. The back panel is original and in good condition. Overall the Davenport is in really good condition.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany square envelope card table, fitted with a frieze drawer and raised on tapered legs of square section united by a raised shelf and terminating in castors. Width 54 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This table requires restoration. There are no losses to the inlay on the envelopes. Two of the four flaps have stress cracks along the panel joins. The frieze drawer is in good order. All legs are in good condition with no repairs or damage. The shelf is original and the supports are not broken. The castors are original. The only real issue is with the veneering to the flaps as previously stated.
