A rare 19c ladies kidney shaped writing table by Gillow of Lancaster. The top veneered with panels of amboyna inlaid with ebony and sycamore. It has a single frieze drawer and raised on turned and tapered supports. United by a crescent shaped veneered shelf which has a panel of thuya wood, banded with ebony and sycamore enclosed by a pierced brass gallery. Decorated throughout with fancy brass mounts and beadings and supported on turned tapered and fluted legs with original castors. Stamped Gillow on edge of drawer, 108cm w, 74cm h.

USA; a late 19th century American 'ex Cottage' mantel clock, the circular dial set with Roman numerals and further Arabic numerals to centre, behind glazed door with printed coloured detail to lower section, the one day movement with striking alarm function, original paper label to interior, with pendulum and key, 33 x 24.3cm, and a Seth Thomas 30 hour shelf clock, 23.5 x 17.8cm, both with key and pendulum (2).Additional InformationRegarding first clock, the dial with heavy crazing some chips and losses, set off centre to the central disc, regarding the second clock, dial heavily worn, misshapen with losses to the enamelling throughout, both cases with heavy general wear, some losses to the veneer, splits, bubbling, lifting etc, surface scuffs, dents and abrasions, these both will need attention, neither tested, no guarantee of working order.
