A George III Welsh oak secretaire linen press, the Greek key moulded cornice over a blind fret frieze, above two ogee moulded panel fielded cabinet doors, fitted with H brass hinges opening to reveal a single fixed shelf, over a long secretaire drawer opening to reveal an arrangement of six pigeon holes, four short drawers and one deep drawer, over three long graduated drawers to the base fitted with brass swan neck handles, raised on shaped bracket front feet, 117cm wide, 179.5cm high, 52cm deep
A pair of Regency rosewood shelf units, four tier, mirror backs with turned spindles between. Height 29 ins, width 12 ins, depth 6 ins. CONDITION REPORT: This pair of units are in generally good, untouched, original condition. They are both very dusty but in generally good order. The mirror plates on both are perished, however the timberwork is generally very good. You will note that the lower tier of one of the units has a spindle missing. Both units are sturdy and not in need of any major cabinetwork other than the returning of the missing spindle.
A Victorian mahogany shop display cabinet, with moulded cornice above a series of sliding doors enclosing shelves and with mirror back, the base fitted with three further sliding doors and with plinth beneath. Width 74.5 ins. CONDITION REPORT: This cabinet has come in from a shop and clearly shows signs of use. It is however in generally reasonable condition and has its original finish. The cornice is in good order. The sliding doors are a little stiff but do operate. The aluminium running strip to which the doors recess looks to be a later replacement. The glass shelves to the upper section are chipped at the edges and corner but perfectly serviceable. The bottom cupboard doors run well, the interior shelf supports are later. The sides of the piece are slightly scuffed in areas and there is a small loss to the bottom right hand rear corner and a small chip to the veneer. The front plinth is scuffed and knocked as one would expect. The piece is generally sturdy and requires only minor cosmetic work.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany display case, with moulded cornice above a ribbon and bellflower inlaid frieze and with pair of glazed doors beneath with wooden astragals enclosing cloth lined shelves, with open shelf beneath with fretwork gallery and raised on tapered legs of square section terminating in spade feet. Width 47 ins, height 71 ins (see illustration).
A Victorian Scottish pine kitchen dresser, with rear shelf and fitted with a series of drawers and cupboards and raised on bracket feet. Width 68 ins. CONDITION REPORT: This piece is in generally very good order. It has come to us from a good local property. It could be used in its current condition without the need for any repair or restoration. It does not appear to have any woodworm. The height excluding the back is 37.75 ins. The height including the back is 50.5 ins. The depth is 21.25 ins and the width 16.75 ins.
