Browne and Miss Taylor, occasional light foxing, neatly and sympathetically rebacked, retaining original backstrips, spine ends and corners a little bumped, light sunning to spines, vol. 1 with some staining to covers, rubbed, 1865; Phineas Redux, 2 vol., frontispieces and 22 wood-engraved plates by Frank Holl, occasional light soiling, neatly and sympathetically rebacked, retaining original backstrips, spines slightly darkened, rubbed, endpapers renewed, 1874; The Duke's Children, 3 vol., occasional creasing and light soiling, vol.1 & 2 lower hinges broken, remaining hinges weak, gatherings pulling, slight shelf-lean, spine ends and corners bumped, a few short splits to joints, rubbed and discoloured, 1880, first editions in book form, half-titles, original cloth, [Sadleir 19, 41 & 57], Chapman and Hall, 8vo (7)⁂ A good group of titles from the Palliser series.
Trollope (Anthony) Ayala's Angel, 3 vol., first edition in book form, light browning to titles, vol. 2 title chipped at head, hinges a little cracked or tender with a few gatherings pulling, bookplate of Morris Parrish to pastedowns, original orange cloth blocked in black and lettered in gilt, sunning to spines, slight shelf-lean, light soiling or marking to covers, rubbing to extremities but a very good set overall, [Sadleir 60], 8vo, Chapman and Hall, 1881.⁂ A scarce later title by Trollope, especially difficult to find in good condition as many copies of the first edition ended up in lending libraries.
