A SHELF MADE FROM TIMBER RECOVERED FROM QUEEN VICTORIA’S STATEROOM ABOARD THE ROYAL YACHT VICTORIA & ALBERT II, constructed in mahogany with shaped end-pieces and hanging rail under, with brass plaque engraved This Shelf is made from a Panel in / QUEEN VICTORIA’S BEDROOM / on board the “ROYAL YACHT VICTORIA and ALBERT” / which was broken up at Portsmouth / March 1904 -- 17½ x 36in. (44.5 x 91.5cm.), A paddle yacht of 2,470 tons, she was launched in 1855 and in constant use until laid up in 1900 and replaced by the Victoria & Albert III.
