Fading/discolouration. One with old worm and worm (treated), the second is missing back board section, crack to corner of marble top, small area of old worm to drawer. General wear and tear.
Superb Victorian Fry’s Chocolate counter top display cabinet, the ebonised wooden framed cabinet with enamelled 'Fry's Chocolate' fan-shaped pediment with R. Palmer maker Jubilee Works Wilder Street Bristol label to rear of pediment and two glass shelves, 39 ½” (110cm) high including pediment, 23” (59cm) wide, 17 ½” (44cm) deep. Lovely condition for age C1910-20.The overall condition is very good. The pediment is in excellent condition. There are some light marks to the wood as would be expected for a cabinet of this age. Both front left shelf corner brackets have been replaced with screws. The glass is in good order.
René Lalique (French, 1860-1945), clear frosted opalescent Danaides glass vase. Moulded with nude maidens pouring water. Marked for R. Lalique to base. Damaged with large chip to base, internal crack and few further dings and marks to internal. Still a good decorative piece which would look good in a cabinet or on a shelf. Viewing recommended. Height 18cm, diameter 13.5cm.
Reclaimed stripped pine single door armoire, panelled door, bun feet, width 69cm, depth 57cm, height 184cm.Condition report:There are two fixed shelves and a third shelf which can be lifted out. Strangely the moveable shelf sits just above a hanging rail, but that is only a few inches above the top fixed shelf so not much use for hanging anything on. The wood is generally ok, no significant splits or damages. There are a few random screwholes to the side panels. Door closes evenly and locks, although the door has warped a little, gaping towards the base.
Reclaimed pine wardrobe, glazed panelled door, single drawer under, bracket feet, width 87cm, depth 49cm, height 190 cms.Condition report:Shelves are present but one has been replaced. Top shelf has some damage and mould. Damage to door near the hinges. Damage to the bottom right corner of left-hand-side. Drawer base is sound. Door closes and locks properly. Ercol light elm Giraffe bookcase, open shelves over doors, width 88cm, depth 40cm, height 191cm.Condition report:Height should read 191cm, width at the base of the cupboard is 90cm, depth 41cm. Good overall condition, no splits to the wood. One of the adjustable shelves has a 'C-shaped' water mark. The cupboard has some surface scratches. The upright posts have shadows from adhesive tape throughout the heights. Almost all surfaces have a degree of surface mildew/ mould growth. The cupboard has peg holes for an adjustable shelf, but there is not one present, nor are there any extra support pegs. Extra images showing it in the round have been uploaded.
Ercol light elm three tier whatnot, open shelves, on casters, width 91cm, depth 32cm, height 102cm.Condition report:It would benefit a thorough sympathetic clean, with obvious dark stain patches to the uprights. Some scratching to the shelves but quite superficial. Partial ring mark to the top shelf surface. The casters still roll well.
A hardwood low table, c.1900, Chinese, on stretchered legs186cm long53cm deep54cm highCondition ReportThere are marks to the top; ink marks, water marks and scratches, also some corner repairs.From the underside, there appears to be fixings in the stretchers that give rise to this having possibly been a central shelf to a larger piece of furniture.It is solid and stable.
An Art Deco rosewood and ash cabinet c.1935, French, 120cm wide46cm deep102cm highCondition ReportOverall the condition is very nice, but we have noted the following; Evidence of old repairs to the scroll feet.There are some very small marks to the top, i identied four, but only really visible under careful scrutiny.The shelves inside are clean apart from the top shelf, which aslo has a mark, which looks like ink ?
