A Chinese inspired black lacquer cabinet of small proportions, mid 20th century, overall decorated with gilt scrolling leaf design, the rectangular top covering an open shelf over two cabinet doors depicting a typical Chinese interior scene mounted with jadeite, mother of pearl and hard stone sectional pieces, both sides with similarly styled decoration depicting flowers and birds, the doors with cloisonne style hinges and escutcheons, opening to reveal a single shelf with two short drawers to the base, 69cm x 45cm x 28cm
