AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY WALNUT AND FLORAL MARQUETRY DUTCH CABINET ON STAND the shaped cornice above inset hinged panelled doors having floral marquetry designs enclosing a shelved interior; raised on a barley twist base with frieze drawer and cross stretcher.189cm high 133cm wide 57cm deep.Overall good original condition, some surface splits and chipping consistent with age, door panels bowed to inner base corners. No loss to the marquetry having good colour and polish. some splitting to the inner side of hinged doors and the upper shelf missing from the interior. The frieze drawer is ‘hidden’ and is opened by reaching under the front rail, there are no holes in the back of the front of the drawer to suggest a handle. The furniture is of solid structure, with only a slight wobble and may require some tightening of the joints in the stand. Original lock and key. 189cm high 133cm wide 57cm deep.

AN IMPRESSIVE LATE 17TH/EARLY 18TH CENTURY MONMOUTHSHIRE JOINED OAK DRESSER AND RACK OF GENEROUS PROPORTIONS the boarded pot rack with projecting moulded cornice above a deep scalloped frieze and three shelves supported by a centre upright. The base with a pegged boarded moulded-edge top and three double moulded-front drawers fitted brass knob handles over a matching deep scalloped apron and ringed slender turned baluster uprights enclosing a boarded under shelf raised on stile feet.231cm wide 222cm high 51cm deep, 238cm wide at corniceThe dresser has come from a private collector in Liverpool, he purchased this from a top dealer at the NEC for £22,000 in the early 90’s. The dresser is in very good original condition, the back boards are thick cut oak and the dresser is very large and impressive. The top has a diamond shaped patch which is original and would of replaced a knot in the wood. The drawer linings and brass handles are original. The centre drawer has a crack which runs through the front. The pot board and feet are original. The dresser has a very nice original colour and patina. The vender has a receipt of when they purchased it.

Spine shows some darkening and discolouration. Pages show some age related darkening, the odd small stain or small fox mark, and some print-through marks.

A VICTORIAN GILT METAL AND CERAMIC MOUNTED FIGURED WALNUT CREDENZA170cm wide; 38cm deep; 107cm highCondition report: Top with various scratches and dents to the veneer, metalwork is tarnished in areas, one of the ceramic medallions has a diagonal crack through it and the central medallion with rubbing to the gilding and various surface scratches. The smaller medallion also has rubbing to the gilding. There is some inlay that is loose, some of has been reglued down. There is a small section 88cm long that is missingInterior; fabric lined and is heavily stained and discoloured, one corner shelf is quite sun faded. And one shelf to the opposing side is loose.Otherwise inevitable scuffs, scratches, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.
