ARTS AND CRAFTS MAHOGANY FIRE SURROUND the pierced crest above two glazed cabinets flanking three foliate carved panels and shelf, over an embossed copper hood, side panels and hearth, 208cm high, 163cm wide Note: This lot came from a large detatched property built by the wealthy Parks family. It was one of two mansions built in 1900 in Carmyle, in the east end of Glasgow. James Park owned a cloth bleaching works in Carmyle. One of the mansions has since been demolished, as has the Parks' business (known locally as 'The Bleachfields').
