(ATTRIBUTED MAKER) ARTS & CRAFTS mahogany, with glazed panels and cast metal handles, the interior with fabric lining(111.5cm wide, 164.5cm high, 44.5cm deep)Note: This interesting cabinet demonstrates design elements characteristic of Philip Webb's furniture for Morris & Co. The deep mouldings to the apron frieze, the supported interior shelf, the canted form and the shaped cut-out apron are all found in furniture by Webb for the firm, who continued to produce his designs for furniture well into the 20th century.

A 17th century Tuscan walnut credenza, the rectangular moulded top, over a pair of shaped oval fielded panelled drawers, above a pair of similarly panelled doors, enclosing a single shelf, raised by stepped low bracket feet, W.131cm D.52cm H.105cmOverall of an even dark reddish brown tone, the top with extra wear, some fading and old repaired splits running left to right, larger handles look to be later replacements, lock to cupboard door looks original with working key, minor wear and denting commensurate with age throughout.PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place. A 19th century French Louis XVI style ormolu mounted ebonised side cabinet, with breakfront rouge marble top, finely pierced ormolu, putto, bird and scroll frieze and central panelled door, decorated with figures, birds and peacocks in a chinoiserie landscape, raised on toupie feet, W.134cm D.46cm H.122cmOverall in honest untouced condition, top looks to be original, has some small chips and nibbles away from the corners and back edge, rubbing to much of the ormolu particularly the raised extremities, small losses to the scrollwork on the friezes at both sides, main panelled door has vertical splits and losses to the background and decoration, has original lock and working key, and encloses a single shelf and mahogany lined interior, ormolu faded throughout to a dull matted finish but overall a handsome piece.PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place.
