SERIES, 1987 - 1994) - Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) and Dr. Katherine Pulaski's (Diana Muldaur) Light-Up Electronic Medkit - Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) and Dr. Katherine Pulaski's (Diana Muldaur) light-up electronic medkit from the sci-fi series Star Trek: The Next Generation. Crusher and her brief replacement, Pulaski, carried medical equipment in a medkit. This piece was first introduced in Season 1's "Lonely Among Us," and saw reuse throughout the series in various configurations, including Season 5's "Cause and Effect" in Crusher's quarters; this configuration is as-seen in Star Trek: First Contact, on a shelf cart when Crusher activates the EMH (Robert Picardo) to delay the Borg.This light-up gray painted thermoformed plastic case is reinforced with wood strips and gray inserted with foam padding. The interior features the following vinyl details: silver pinstripe squares, white pinstriping, white numbering, and repurposed tricorder graphics. The case exterior features white vinyl pinstriping and tape across surface faces, a white screen-printed Caduceus on front; sparse silver-color vinyl pinstripe rectangles; a back-lit yellow, amber, and purple translite LCARS interface with red, blue, and green round-cut acrylic inlays at top left; and two small circular LED light features (red on the top, green on the side). Featured in 'Welsh Furniture 1250 - 1950 by Richard Bebb (Volume II, page 97)Condition Report: Old marks, scratches and abrasions, chips and splits comensurate with age and useSome old repairs, including fillets of timber as old honest repairs often expected for this age and type of furniture. some small old losses. some old worm damage as expected for age and type. Some small nails of various date used to secure some elements. (see images)Good colour and patina overall but with fading to the front in particular. . Original surface overall.Some additional old dark scratches and indentation as expected for age and use. Some partial dark old ring marks to the 'shelf' of the lower part. The brass handles have age and suit the piece well but are later replacements. There are disguised/ plugged holes from a previous/ original set of handles (see images) many are disguised by very well matched square shaped sections of matching timber. There are circular marks surrounding them caused by the previous/ original sets of handles. The brass escutcheons are equally very likely later additions or replacements. One of the upper door escutcheons is false and there is no lock, the other lock looks to be an addition but has age. The lock to the longer drawer of the lower section appears original or atleast to be of the period. Lacking keys. To the lower cupboard, it appears that there was previously a shelf there that is now lacking (see images) Rather charmingly, one rear panel visible from inside the cupbaord is a re-use of a 17th century panel as it is carved with initial and partial date '168' (see additional images) The rear panels all appear original throughout, as do the drawer linings and timbers forming the lings of the cupboards. No obvious splicing to feet. Some planks forming 'floor' of drawers vary from each other but appear to be of period, some may be honest old replacements. There is some division between elements forming the floors of the drawers (as expected)Of solid structure overall. The rear panels all appear original. A GEORGE III MAHOGANY CLOTHES PRESS CIRCA 1790 The doors of unusual swept form 218cm high, 129cm wide, 62cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old splits and chips - see images. Metalware appears original. One key is present and operates the lock to the doors. No key is present for the drawers, but all are open. The separate bar for the catch to the lock plates is detached but present with the press. Some old veneer repairs, including to the elements between drawers - see images. Some minor evidence of old worm to underside and backboards. Finials to the top of the press appear to be old replacements. Interior has been converted to a hanging space. There are some later sections of timber to the old tray runners and a small later shelf has been added to the back of the interior. Some later screws and thin fillets of timber to hinges. Bensley for Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, And Brown, London 1816 (3) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:All volumes show scuffs and the odd scratch to the boards and spines, bumps to all corners and shelf ware.  Gilt highlights show rubbing throughout.  All pages show age-related darkening, some small creases to the corners, the odd fox mark and the occasional small stain.  Some pages opposite plates show some print-through.  Vol II shows a small bump to the front edge of the block approximately halfway down.  Vol III shows a small stain to the top of the front edge of the block.  All volumes appear to be complete.

Riders (Cardanus), RIDERS 1673 BRITISH MERLIN, BEDECKT WITH MANY DELIGHTFUL VARIETIES AND USEFUL VERITIES, FITTING THE LONGITUDE AND LATITUDE OF ALL CAPACITIES WITHIN THE ISLANDS OF GREAT BRITAINS MONARCHY AND CHRONOLOGICAL OBSERVATIONS OF PRINCIPAL NOTE, TO THIS YEAR 1673 BEING THE FIRST AFTER BISSEXTILE OR LEAP YEAR, full leather, embossed title to front board, brass clasp, laid paper, extensively inscribed endpapers, further inscribed pages in the text, printed by S.G. for the Company Of Stationers, London 1673 CONDITION REPORT:The volume shows wear to the leather binding throughout. There is a 2cm worn tear to the base of the spine, with a further 1cm long triangular wear hole 1cm from the top of the spine. The right edge of the spine shops later stitches and what appears to be a worn through stitch hole. Bumps, shelf and pocket wear to all corners and edges, including and open frayed lower front corner and lower edge wear holes. The clasp is functional. There is evidence of a lower clasp which is no longer present. All pages show some darkening, wear and the odd small tear to the edges and corners. The first front endpaper may have been later pasted in.13 leaves of blank and inscribed front endpapers, red and black printed title page, 11 text pages ending 'January hath xxxi days', inscribed leaf, 'Observations on January', 'February hath xxviii days', inscribed leaf, [pattern continues until 'Observations on June', 'July hath xxxi days', two inscribed leaves, then resumes with one leaf between until 'Observations on December'], 13 text pages to 'Finis', 30 leaves of blank and inscribed rear endpapers. Catches (where present) appear to run correctly. 48 printed pages (24 leaves) total including title page.

Buyers should be aware that the cupboard is going to need a degree of restoration.Paint appears to be original on both pieces indicating that it has been together for some time and probably not a marriage

Some additional old dark marks and scratches to the top (see images) The wire-work panels to the doors are generally in tidy condition with some fairly minimal undulation. The pleated fabric behind is neat and clean and likely relatively recently replaced. Old evidence of fabric being pinned to the reverse of the door panels (as often seen for items of this type and period) (see images) Some natural fading overall and to a slightly higher degree to the top due to its position and cleaning. Lock and escutcheon appear original. Lacking key. The door closes and stays closed currently. May be possible to locate a key to operate the lock if required Original fixed single shelf to the interior. Rear panels original. Some old chips, splits and losses. Various old veneer repairs to edges of shelves. Large split opening across the lowest shelf - see image. There is also filler applied to the lowest shelf in places. Rear block feet are later replacements. Split across backboard of highest shelf. Turned gilt elements are likely later replacements and re-finished. Y A PAIR OF REGENCY ROSEWOOD, BRASS MOUNTED AND INLAID OPEN BOOKCASESCIRCA 1815With Carrara marble topseach 96.5cm high, 53.5cm wide, 35.5cm deepPlease note, one of the marble tops has some orange/brown staining that isn't illustrated in our catalogue images. Please refer to our condition report images which are available upon request.Condition Report: There are losses and observations including: overall scratches, marks, knocks and abrasions in particular to the corners, edges, base and brass inset shelf fronts; the marble tops have chamfered edges and two holes to the underside to fit on previous dowels; one marble top is discoloured; the tops, interiors, backs and undersides of the bookcases are ebonised; on close inspection there are some differences between the two bookcases including the height of the plinth bases, colour variations; fixings of the brass colours some with no hole, a pin hole or screw hole/s, the widths of frame around the panelled backs; there is some evidence of worm; some of the finish has eroded back to bare wood by some kind of liquid with a ring mark to one shelf, a line to one side and to one plinth.Please see the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition.Condition Report Disclaimer
