The gilt block edges, titles and cover decoration all show wear commensurate with age and use. The end papers show some staining. The half title page is creased and worn. The pages show the wear, stains and creasing commensurate with age and use, but no visible foxing. There is no inscription or scribbling in the volume.The Tale Of Mr Tod shows bumps to the front corners resulting in a small loss to the top surface of the bottom corner. There is shelf wear to the bottom edges and spine edges, with a small tear to the top of the spine. There appears to be a partial thickness tear to the base of the front free endpaper. The pages have yellowed somewhat, but show minimal foxing. There is no inscription or scribbling in the volume.

The pages and plates are all clean and bright, with no foxing. The slipcase shows minor wear, some minor fading to the marbled design and minimal wear to the open edges.
