An early 20th century mahogany wardrobe, outswept cornice with faux-meandrous capital, above a door and four graduated drawers, flanked by further glazed doors, each enclosing a shelf, hanging rail and hooks, outlined throughout with satinwood banding and boxwood and ebony stringing, bracket-form plinth base, 209.5cm high, 189cm wide, 58.5cm deep
19th Century Welsh oak two stage press cupboard, the moulded cornice above two blind panelled doors, the interior revealing shaped shelf and another, the projecting base with an arrangement of two short and two long drawers, standing on shaped bracket feet. 116 x 51 x 178cm approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Rather dry and faded in places. There is one large breakage/split to front bracket left foot and a split to the other side. Evidence of worm to the back boards. General wear and tear, losses in places as expected commensurate with age.

Barham (R.H.), THE INGOLDSBY LEGENDS OR MIRTH AND MARVELS BY THOMAS INGOLDSBY ESQUIRE, 3 vols, all first editions, later 3/4 brown leather, engraved frontispieces, illustrated title pages, engraved plates throughout, Richard Bentley, London 1840, 1842, 1847 CONDITION REPORT:All three volumes have been relatively recently rebound, and the new bindings are in good tight condition showing minimal shelf wear and un-bumped corners, but some sun fading to spines. The blocks all show wear to the gilt top edge, and some staining to the front and bottom edges. The pages will have darkened somewhat over time, but remain generally clean, with only the odd small areas of foxing.

THE ROYAL TRIBES OF WALES and THE JOURNEY FROM CHESTER... each show shelf ware, corner bumps and spine wear. THE ROYAL TRIBES shows various loose sections within the binding. The block of THE JOURNEY is more tightly bound, but is splitting away from the spine.

An Aesthetic movement ebonised cabinet, by G Davis, late J Yabsley's, Plymouth, the galleried crest above a mirror back, the cabinet enclosed by panel doors painted with flowers, 67cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Beneath the drawer the ebonies carcass is rubbed, the balustrade below the doors is very rubbed but complete. The legs and bottom shelf are also rubbed, There are cracks to both sides and an Ebony strip behind right door is damaged.This all sounds rather damping but overall it's not to bad

Here we have a lovely example of the scarce original UK LP by Pierre Fournier: Cello Encores (33CX 1644, original UK mono pressing on the blue/ gold Columbia label. XAX 1324-2N/ 25-1N matrix. The record has some light surface marks, nothing feelable but visually there are a few on each side, VG/ The sleeve is lovely bright and glossy, has some light edge shelf wear, including a tiny split appearing on the bottom edge, strong VG+).
