Lot 967

A late Victorian oak hall stand, with hooks, mirror, shelf, drawer and drip trays. Width 177 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The hall stand is in generally very good condition. It is a good colour and all of the metal fittings are original. There is no evidence of any woodworm past or present.

Lot 969

A 17th century oak court cupboard, with carved frieze above a series of panelled doors and shelf flanked by turned columns and with pair of panelled doors to the base. (Alterations). Width across top 168 cm, depth 56.5 cm, height 156 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The cupboard is in generally very good condition. It has no cornice and may well have originally been built-in to ceiling height. The colour of the piece is generally very good. The top doors are in good order. There are some marks around the lock escutcheon to the left door. The two turned pillars are in our opinion later replacements. The front shelf appears to be original. The base is in generally good condition. The carving on the lower section is different from that on the upper section. The sides are all panelled and in good condition. The backboards appear to be original as do that shelves. There is no significant warping to the doors. The butterfly wooden door retainers are later replacements. We can see no evidence of any woodworm and there are no structural issues.

This piece is in first class condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. It has clearly been very well looked after and is ready to use in its current condition without the need for any repairs or restoration.

Lot 1182

A 19th century Chinese hardwood jardiniere stand, with rouge marble top and shelf. Diameter 46 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The marble top is in good condition with no cracks. The piece is structurally sound with no losses to the carving. The shelf is solid. The only minor issue is that the stand is generally very dusty and dirty and requires a good clean.

Lot 1276

A pair of 19th century Chinese hardwood jardiniere stands, each of shaped outline and with rouge marble top raised on four legs with pierced low shelf. Height 81.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One stand is in basically good condition. There is no damage to the marble, the top is flat and there are no significant losses to the woodwork. The joints are not significantly loose. The piece is structurally sound. We can see no breaks to the woodwork. There are some minor surface scratches and scuffs but no significant issues. The second stand has a damaged marble top. This should be visible from our images. The carved frieze is in generally good condition with no significant losses. The joints at the top of the legs have all been reglued. One leg has had a break at the foot which has been pegged. The lower shelf also appears to have been reglued in place.
