A fine and rare Mason's Ironstone chinoiserie fire surround, circa 1830, printed Mason's mark, the shaped raised mantel upon a frieze set with scroll work, the sides topped with moulded lion dog masks upon moulded supports, decorated with printed chinoiserie panels on a pale blue ground, 153cm wide x 122cm high/Literature: Geoffrey Godden, Mason's Ironstone China, 1971, plate 55, Alison Kelly, The Book of English Fireplaces, plate 90 page 77, for a similar example/Note: We can only find three other similar fire surrounds that have been sold in recent times, two at Sotheby's London and one at Sotheby's New York, all plainer and smaller/see illustration Condition Report: This surround is damaged but seems to be compl The mantel shelf is in good condition The frieze has been broken see images and the back has also been broken, the pieces are all there except for a few very small pieces The capitols to the unrights are fine, the columns are damaged but all there except for very small areas The plinths are damaged and a small area missing

λ A Regency rosewood and brass mounted side cabinet, inlaid with brass marquetry, the raised back with a three quarter gallery above 'X' shaped supports and two frieze drawers, above cupboards below enclosing a shelf, flanked by turned columns on turned bun feet, 113.3cm high, 92.7cm wide, 41.9cm deep.Provenance: The Royal College of Ophthalmologists removed from 17 Cornwall Terrace, London.

A George III mahogany miniature bureau bookcase, inlaid with chequer stringing and with a pair of glazed doors enclosing a shelf above a hinged fall revealing pigeon holes and three drawers above three long drawers, all fitted with brass knob handles, 44.3cm high, 23.6cm wide, 14.4cm deep. Lot 330 – miniature bureau bookcase. This is in generally good condition. There is a small old chip to the back edge of the top. The mirrored doors are speckled and spotted with losses to the plate. The brass handles and escutcheons are worn and tarnished. General wear consistent with age and use with minor old dents to edges but generally in good order.

Jean Campbell (20th century) "Court Theatre, London" signed and dated 1924, also inscribed with the title and monogramed together with a further inscription, "They also serve" pen ink and wash, 35 x 23.5 cm unframed, together with example by the same artist inscribed "Whitechapel" dated 1929, 35 x 25 cm, another entitled "True Travellers" also an extremely large collection of unframed engravings and prints, including "Mr Garrick in the character of Richard III" engraved by T.Cook after William Hogarth, "Lady Caroline Montague" as a young girl, black and white engraving, various scenes from Greek tragedies by, Gavin Hamilton, "The Politician" after William Hogarth, etched by J.K.Sherwin, other engravings after Zuccarelli, other figurative subjects and other works, a number of "Life Drawings" depicting both male and female figures, pen and ink illustration by Wallace Coop entitled "A Crack Shot" produced for the News of the World, two unfinished watercolours by G.F.Nicholls, various books and a small wooden wall shelf, with some brass ware, (a large collection)

A rosewood book case, 19th century, with cushion moulded cornice, above two rectangular glazed doors enclosing shelves, on a pedestal base with two pairs of cupboard doors, on bracket feet, 211cm high x 139cm wide x 37cm deep CONDITION REPORT: some overall discolouration to the front, minor dents and old scratches throughout, with a scratch to the top of the base to the left hand side, small section of veneer missing from bottom pane divide to right hand door, repair to veneer of internal shelf lip, no cracks to the glass, locks in working order, with key, overall in good/fairly good condition with minor blemishes.

Late 19th century mahogany mirror backed chiffonier having shell and foliate moulded arched cresting with over shelf above bevel mirror plate, the base with moulded edge top above two panelled drawers flanked by moulded corbles, a pair of panelled and foliate moulded blind panelled cupboards below flanking centre arched recess with indented shelf on a platform base. Circa 1890.

The inverted breakfront base fitted pedestal cupboard ends each with pair of panelled doors enclosing a pair of shelves, open central section with three narrow drawers above. Low panelled back shelf top 306 cm length x 82 cm depth x 130 cm height.
